Will we finally get native mix recording or a similar feature back?

... everything else is secondary to me.

How is native mix recording different from the mix recorder up in the effects section in Traktor?

It 'records' all your movements in the software. So if you messed up a mix, you can go back and correct it, or if you didn't like an effect, you can go back and tweak it.

Similar to Ableton's Arrangement view I guess.

I already have Traktor Scratch Pro Audio 8, do i have to buy the new version to get the colored waveforms or will that be a free upgrade?

But you don't have an arrangement view it's more like a "time machine" :D cool, yeah? :)

    Yes. What does this mean?

Is it just the same as TP/TSP. Or does it interact differntly/better.

so with TSP/D 2.0 and one of the new interfaces (audio 6/10) do I still need multicore-cables when playing timecode-vinyl? or is everething done in the interfaces then?
    thanks

Just a few questions. Forgive me if they's been answered already, I just didn't have the time to read through 12 pages of this thread.

    1. Is this compatible with Windows Vista?
I have TP running well with my setup, I'd hate to upgrade and run into compatibility problems.

    2. How well will the Kontrol X-!s work with the new sample decks?

    3. Will the current KB shortcuts still work or will they change?

    4. For those of us using Traktor Certified mixers, will TP 2.0 work with the current ASIO drivers?

I have the same inquiries of Wyley : how about collection management, file sorting (I think I read somewhere this will happen) and iTunes integration ?

But we should take our time to answer your question? Seems kind of selfish.

    Some tips:
    1) Look at the product specs from the homepage

    2) Use 'search'...you can even search specific threads your in. GENIUS! :)

NI, shame on you! Seriously, how hard is to implement loop & cue sets? JESUUUUS

why are you implementing harder stuff instead of just doing a simple feature that HELPS A LOT?

Seriously, how hard is to implement this?

Don't tell that it's harder than making sample decks, more effects or loop recorders. bah

Really..? Shame? not implemeting a feature that has only just been recently requested and only then by a tiny minority.

Dont you think your statement is a bit much. They just delivered the most requested feature ever and you are calling 'shame'.

Without the sampler Loop Sets are kinda pointless dont you think.

lol? Karlos, i already explained what cue & loop sets are, in djtt!

That feature just groups the loop & cue points that you have in the nml file so you can see what points a mashup/edit have. Or do you prefer to have 15 cue points showing at once when you just need 4 or 5 for a mashup/edit? Of course im saying 15 because the points are not grouped!

Yeah dude i get that. I think its a cool request.
Thing is, its a new request.

The Sampler has been on the List for years and has taken some time to develop.
I think we are only at the beginning of the of what NI are gonna do with the Sampler.

Im sure more advanced Sampler features will be developed.

errrr creating a new tag in the nml like this:

    <group name="As the rush comes VS tiger's apology">
    <COMMENT>....</COMMENT>
    <CUE> ..... </CUE>
    <LOOP> ..... </LOOP>
    .....(more loops and cues)
    </group>

then, when you load a track, you have two options:

    1) Traktor asks what set you want to use.
    2) You have a GUI element that allow you to replace the set with a new one, after the track was loaded in the deck.
    ---
Karlos.... the point is that the feature i requested (and more users, as far as i know), is just manipulating the nml/xml. It's not an audio issue, it's a xml file editing issue. ;)
    ---
Oh and btw, the comment tag is usefull so i can make a bried description about this mashup (to say where to trigger each cue and loop). For DJ's that have dozen's of mashups to make live (or hundred's), this is REALLY usefull. I bet that almost no one can remember all the cue points in every mashup they make. :(

Great, fantastic. Im not doubting that it can be done.
You need to remember that just cus you champion a feature does not mean its high on anyone elses list. Thats what the features subforum if for.

You need to post all this in the Features Subforum.

Like i say , its early days with the Sampler.
