I use PC, but here is the official from NI.
You shouldn't need to re-analyze your files. Making a backup of the current collection and data folder sbould be all you need, on pc I have simply replaced my collection from a backup. Also my TSI. simply replaced with a backup of the main.

You still have not confirmed if using a sample from your HD (sample packs or collection one already made not the captured loops) is able to be saved as a remix set. This confirmation will help narrow your problem to being only a captured loop problem.

Is there a way to check Traktor permissions only?(I know this probably is not the problem) I know your permissions work for you creating files but I am still wondering why Traktor is not able to create a file.

And I do doubt this is the problem or else collections, recordings, mappings would not save, but this is a little different since this is an automatic file creation that is triggered by playing the "virtual" sample you have in the deck.

By disabling mappings you may have something in your mappings causing an issue (probably not) but it is an easy thing to check and try the software only.
I am not thinking it has anything to do with the F1 itself, but in the past I have had mappings I was making and deleted that somehow caused Traktor to mess up, I can't really explain it but I was working on a mapping and some of the changes of the map somehow stayed... Just a simple thing to try.

The OS Mavericks could be the issue regardless of it working in one version vs. another, although this would be partly NI and a software update issue, it could and does sound specific to a version or versions and a file handling problem.
From the complaints in the forum and the solution NI and most the rest of us (just play 3 times as loop) have used actually working, it doesn't seem like a widespread issue. But it is hard to judge things like this because the forum and a few support articles is a very, very, small percent of people who use Traktor.

Also I can't remember but, I wonder what version Traktor has been the one that has the option to send user data to NI. I wonder if that feature is a possible cause? Probably not.

Another common problem for various issues with Traktor has been having the current controller editor installed, for me this is usually updated with the install of Traktor, but running the NI Sevice Center application will show updates including the Editor.
    Something to check.

I am sure you are familiar with this but towards the bottom of the article has information on changing permissions per application.
You are definitely better with your computer than me but just an article I would try when troubleshooting.
