Traktor 2.6 and Mountain Lion Compatibility

I read in the news release when mountain lion was now launched that there were compatibility problems with Traktor 2.5 etc and that NI released some beta drivers.

I am wondering if the issues were resolved with the 2.6 update and should I finally update to mountain lion...I am running late 13" 2011 Macbook Pro 2.7Ghz i7

I dont wanna mess with the operating software unless i know NI solved the issues.

 

Traktor Pro 2.6 has no issues on ML whatsoever.

Now if you have a MacBook Pro with USB 3.0, that's a different story (I'm not up to date on this one).

 

TSP 2.6.0 is working fine with my S4 on a Macbook Air with ML 10.8.2; the USB3 issues seem to be resolved for Mac now.

 

well i use it in several evirons...sometimes with my s4, or Audio 6 or HID with CDJ-2000s (depending on venue)...so once issues with all possible setups (not just mine) have been resolved i will update (hopefully it has so i should be fine right?)

 

I'm not aware of any problems that occurred specifically due to Mountain Lion, the big issue previously was the incompatibility of USB3.0 with NI sound cards which seems to have been completely resolved for Mac now. That's what the beta drivers were released for.

 

I ordered a new macbook pro today 15" retina maxed out and was glad to see no issues . will be ordering 2.6 pro any one ever use a giga port anymore ?

 

So can anyone categorically confirm (preferable from NI) that Kontrol S4 works with USB3 on the new MacBook retinas?

Note that it specifically says "Under Windows, only USB 2.0 ports are officially supported"

I have the MacBook Pro 15" Mid 2012 w/ 2.6GHz core i7 & 8GB RAM series

Currently Running on Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and I have no problems to report.

Just make sure that you update your audio driver so that it will be compatible with the USB 3.0
