Traktor 2 Bible - by Rainer G. Haselier

Hi,

I am new to the S4 and DJing/Mixing.

I was surfing the internet to find help to build my knowledge on the S4 and software.

I came across this book:

Traktor 2 Bible - by Rainer G. Haselier

Has any body got feedback on this book?

Has any body got any suggestions on other books to help with learning the S4 funtions and DJing?

Any help would be appreciated.

It is THE definitive source for everything TPv2.

I think that the TP manual is a great guide. I refer back to it often.

I would highly recommend that book. Really helped me.

Its a lot of info so take it a piece at a time...if you understand everything in that book or at least try it will make you a better DJ.

 

If you practice what is written in that book then you are the master of traktor!

You don’t need another book except the traktor manual for a quick reference.

 

I'll agree with this because you don't NEED the bible on Traktor.

Still, if you have it, the deep things that you can do become easier to grasp. FWIW, I don't own it, but would buy it in a minute if decided to start want to make custom controller mappings. The bible would be worth its weight in gold then, IMHO.

Honestly speaking again that book traktor 2 bible makes my life easy in regard being Dj, I am not talking about being good or bad Dj because that has to do with different aspects like good music and sound.

 

Traktor Bible is a terrible book.


Just kidding. First port of call is ALWAYS the NI Manual. It is required reading before anything else. If you want to get deeper then the Bible is the best reference for Traktor DJ's, there is no alternative.

I have the book, read it cover to cover before i even turned the S4 on. It's good, but really i think more applicable for people wanting to build their own controller, rather than the S4 owners.
