    So, it´s only my opinion, but...

    Traktor 2 is the worst traktor ever, the cool functions (Scrath Macros, Database BPM Scan), not only is present.

    U can´t use 2 soundcards no more

    Too much useless buttons

    Complicated new ways to do things that were very easy on Traktor 1

    Again, is only my opinion....

    PS-Sorry about my bad english...

    I disagree.

    I think that Traktor is a great program...I DJ regularly in Los Angeles and have started to work with this program to transfer my sets to a digitial medium.

    So far it seems that the workflow and logic of the system is well thought out. There are improvements to be made (which I will detail in a post later when I have a better practical understanding of my needs with this piece of software), but so far I see that I can use this in a way that will work for a clubbing DJ.

    I'm used to vinyl and Technics turntables and matching beats perfectly that way, and so far I've been able to mimic the beat matching precision I need with some effort in preparing the tracks.

    Good stuff.

    Traktor 1.3?

    I've used them both, and Traktor 2 is much, much better. If you find the number of buttons intimidating, just...don't use them! Seriously, you can operate Traktor 2 with exactly 2 buttons: Play Deck A, Play Deck B. To cue songs, you can just use your mouse. Past that, you pick the buttons that you want to use.

    Here are my keyboard shortcuts..

    Add a dash of salt and flavor to taste. Your mileage may vary, but I find this set up to be intuitive and easy to work with when under the spotlight and under pressure with a crowd dancing/staring with/at you...

    :)

    (note: I use an external mixer. I do not use the mixer included as part of traktor...)

    But anyway - here are the general Keyboard mappings I use. I find it very intuitive for live use at gigs.

    I = In for Looping
    O = Out for Looping
    - = Move Loop back
    + = Move loop forward
    S = Sync Button
    C = Cue Point Edit window
    B = BPM Edit Window
    Arrow Key left = Bend Negative
    Arrow Key right = Bend Positive
    Arrow Key Up = Pitch Down
    Arrow Key down = Pitch up
    / = Sync Set for offset setting
    p = preference window
    1 = I bar loop setting
    2 = 4 bar loop setting
    3 = 8 bar loop setting
    4 = 16 bar loop setting
    Delete Key = Change deck focus
    M = Cue point select
    Space Bar = Play/Stop/Pause

    I don't have any keyboard short cuts for filter stuff yet. I'm waiting for teh UC-33 midi controller to use the knobs on that....

    But the above set up works really well for me because the settings are intuitive.

    I hope that helps.

    :)

    Rob.
