Traktor 2 Pre-Order

Now then, just been looking at sticking my pre-order down before I spunk all my cash this month and have a quick question.

On the online shop there is a selection of updates for existing traktor users.

Is the one I want to order to update from traktor scratch pro to traktor scratch pro 2 the "TRAKTOR PRO 2 Update
This update only works for registered users of TRAKTOR 1,2 or 3 or TRAKTOR PRO."

This may be a stupid question as this is the only one that fits the bill. It's the only one that is the price that NI published for the version update.

I just want to double check first before I find out that actually it's just traktor, and doesnt include the DVS plugin. The wording doesn't include anything about scratch.

 

I too have Traktor Scratch Pro. Do I buy the tractor Pro 2 as my upgrade? Like Visor, better to be sure than to waste a credit card charge...

 

No, if you own a Scratch version you must buy a Scratch upgrade otherwise you will lose the scratch functionality.

If you own TSP1 you must buy the software upgrade to TSP2 for TSP1 owners.

 

Yeah I thought that. Where is said upgrade? I dont see it on the NI store.

So the gist of this entire thread is that you can't pre-order the traktor scratch update? I guess we got there eventually.

 

I'm already the owner of TSD and I would like to buy TSD2 hardware upgrade. Could you tell me whats the difference (beside price) between TSD2 hardware upgarde and normal box set with TSD2?
Is it necessary to still have old Traktor version after I will buy this upgrade?

 

If you purchase the Hardware upgrade you still need the previous version of TSD to be registered to you as your are upgrading that version to TSD2.
You are free to sell the Audio 4.

All the prices are listed on the product pages. The Hardware Upgrade is $100 cheaper.

 

Is there any benefit to preordering? Better price or sample pack etc. would be nice

 

So why on this page is written that the package comprises TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO 2 Software, if as you wrote, I still need my old Traktor software?

The same package comprise is in normal box of TSD2, so I asked you where is the difference because I thought this upgrade is a normal version of TSD2 with just cheapper price in pre-sale for current Traktor users. I thought that I could sell my old Traktor set after I buy this upgrade.

 

You cannot sell your current Traktor software because you are buying an upgrade to that product.

If someone bought the Hardware Upgrade package and did not have a previous version, the new software would not install or activate because a "Qualifying Product" is not registered.

An 'Upgrade' is always contingent on a 'Qualifying Product'.
You are upgrading your software from TSD1 to TSD2

The Hardware Upgrade is cheaper by $100 because you already own TSD.
It is a limited offer so that users can get the Audio 6.

Please note: If you buy the Hardware Upgrade you essentially get Traktor Scratch Duo 2 software FREE plus timecode.

The benefit is that NI are planning to send out pre-orders in time for users to receive on or very near April 1st. There are no price or package advantages that i am aware of.

I haven't ordered anything from the NI website before, bought my ts pro from another dealer. But is it possible to get vat relief when ordering from here? I have a valid VAT number already for my dj'ing business. Is there a field for entering vat number when ordering? Cheers

 

Is it 349 € for full version of TSD2 is a final price or special offer?

 

You would have to contact Sales/Order Support for that information.

That is the full retail price.
