Are you sure these things you post about are actually issues? If the hardware circuitry is designed to behave in a certain way do you think a software update will fix it?

I’m happy with my ks2 and I consider the headphone volume acceptable for the safety of my ears.

I have been a DJ for over 20years, Traktor Pro user 10 years to date, i am very technical when it comes to hardware and software, i currently own a Pioneer DDJ-T1 DJ Controller, Traktor Kontrol S4 (1st Model Release), Numark DJ2GO & Traktor DJ Cable, Denon DJ MC3000 DJ controller - None of these have I ever had an audio issue with. I have followed Youtube Videos, Native Instruments Forums & setup my audio preferences the way it suits my needs & to date, audio quality is satisfactory. I have been on google ever since I encountered the Traktor Kontrol S3 Low Audio Issue myself, not doing enough research only to find out that this model (as well the S2 Mk3) has a low audio output issue & i have been looking for any solution, users of this particular unit may have resolved - No Positive Results Yet. I have some time back mentioned an issue with the Traktor Kontrol S4 unit regarding an audio issue, which was related to the software, which NI has resolved in an update later released (cannot tell you when tho), till to date working absolutely fine.

My take on this is a simple issue (Hopefully I Am Wrong)
The Programmers / Coders may have overlooked the audio on these units (S2 & S3) - i have a feeling this is where the low audio output could be rectified, if that is not the case then i would humbly apologize to the NI company & team.

My question remains - why design products, ship them to different countries, have the retailers put them on the display shelves for purchase, clients, like myself who have purchased these units, have beeeeeen for some time, complaining about the low audio output - Do Nothing About It?
There's no communication / Reply or indication from NI stating that these units are NOT defective & should assure clients that the units are in actual fact Fully Functional Devices & Should not be in any way give clients problems - Yet on the forum, there many complaints about the audio issue, some who actually sent the units back/sold them & got themselves other hardware to work with.

If you want to understand the reasons for this, just watch these three presentations Tractor team and you yourself will understand everything:

Very nice ‘tale of the tape’ there.

    Here’s my findings.

Traktor is relatively the loudest when played from a USB mixer vs other gear like turntables with real vinyl or standalone media players when plugged into that same mixer.

However these Traktor controllers play at the same relative volume as real vinyl on a turntable plugged into a real mixer, from my testing at least. Nobody’s witch hunting technics or in my case Stanton about low audio output relative are they?

When NI first released the audio 6 + 10 there was the ‘low output issue’ so they quietly changed the hardware from ‘Audio 6/10’ to ‘A6/10’ so good luck with waiting for the software solution.

My recommendation for you is to turn up your external mixing board gain or your amp a little higher.

Well, it's about that time of year when the NI team normally goes on holiday for the Christmas season. So, I guess it will be sometime in January before we might get the info that was promise by Allan :(. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all. Hope everyone gets the gift that they were hoping for the holidays . "More Life".

do you know how the lies returns to people? they stop distinguishing between the truth and the lie, everything becomes as if in a fog, such is the payment for misleading others

    happy new year

You will actually get some new emojis ... but you can also stay here if you prefer.

As for news from the Traktor team, they will happen in the new space as they get the next beta ready.
