    Hi all,

I keep having this strange annoying problem. When im using trakor 3 LE with my behringer bcd3000 and playing a track, it often unexpectedly pauses and after a few seconds it starts playing again...

I looked in the manual and it says that the latency setting can be used to avoid dropouts. So i set my latency to the maximum buffertime (40ms) just to be sure. This didnt solve the problem.

Its really bugging me and I really dont know what to do with this problem. Is it a hardware issue? Is my bcd broken? Anyone else had this problem?

    Please someone, help me!

    Thanks in advance,
    KGB009

hey dude. im having the exact same problem! i set my latency to 5 ms and this seems to have helped a bit. im gonna test the unit tonight and do a good long mix to see if there are any dropouts.i guess the only advice i can give you is start at the lowest setting and keep moving up one ms at a time...
by the way, is it freezing up completely for a few seconds or is tracktor still running but the sound has dropped out?

    Thanks for your reaction.

This indeed helped a bit. But it still droppes sometimes...

and to awnser your question; Traktor doesnt really freeze, all the buttons still work but the mixers stop playing, the audio stops and the bcd doesnt respond to any buttons/faders, after a few seconds it starts again. Does this happen to you too?

I think I have it working...

I used msconfig to disable a shitload of services that I dont use anyway, I disabled my virusscanner (mcAffee) and stopped some apps in my system-tray that were not of any special use.
After this I was able to DJ for 45 mins without any interruptions. I stoped after 45 min so I dont know if the problem is really gone, but at least its much less now.

If i have some time the comming days I'll try to figure out wich of those is responsible for the dropouts...

give it a try, maybe it works for you too...

Traktor LE doesn't work properly with Behringer BCD3000

I have the same problem! The track or rather the program freezes for few seconds every few seconds. This is so annoying! I cannot even make a 25 second long mix. How crazy is that? I tried to differ latency settings. I also had complete system crash few times

If anyone can help me with this issue, I'd greatly appreciate, or suggest a different software for BCD3000 that actually works. I'm so disappointed. First I wait few months until BCD3000 comes out, then I waited like 6 days to get the package and now this... Please Help Guys!
    Thanks!

I got Dell laptop, Core Duo 1.83 Mhz, 1Gb Ram...

Hey guys, I had the same problem. I have a HP DV8000 with 1gb of RAM. I disable wifi and removed my Audigy sound card, bam, problem solved. I used the BCD3000 and Traktor LE with 11ms latency, on a gig this past Saturday. It ran for 5 hours straight without a single glitch.

hey guys, i found a site about tweaking your pc for audio: http://www.pcmus.com/TweakXP.htm

this seemed to help me a lot with my freezing problem... optimize your pc for background tasks.

This cannot work... if you put in a memory card the USB bus will get less priority because Windows will take priority on looking what was put in. ;-) Take an external hard disk and connect it before starting to DJ...

I just got a fresh windows install yesterday. I did all the things that supposed to help with me stop freezing Traktor LE during control of BCD3000.
-I turned off ACPI Battery control
-performance is set up for background services.
-latency set up at max 42ms
-BCD3000 is directly connected to the laptop (no other USB devices are connected)
-HDD is in "DMA if possible"
    -no antivirus/background software running..

so I'm pretty mych frustrated when every few seconds Traktor LE freezes for few seconds.

Do yall know any other software having already support for BCD3000? I got it worked a little with VDJ4.2 with BCD2000 mapping, but I got just about 80% of the BCD3000 working...

You might try the full version of Traktor; Traktor DJ Studio 3.
Fill out this form for the demo version.
After installing, be sure to set it up for use with the BCD3000. See the wiki article.

Since this is a newer version (3.2.2) than LE, it might just solve your problem. Or not.... Try it!

    Pauses

Yeah, I had exactly the same problem, tried stopping services etc then installed a clean version of xp and it still didnt work.
Only way I could get a stable system was to intall another version of windows xp on my other partition, remove all un neccessary windows programs like the accessories, internet explorer etc then disable all hardware except for my vga card, sound card and base system stuff like hard drives. Make sure LAN cards WLAN card, pcmcia ports are disbled. Set windows performance settings for best performance, turn off the page file and set the power save options to never...

Works fine now, did a four hour set last night with no issues.
I suspect that turning off the LAN/WLAN hardware would have solved the problem but I dont want to risk this happening during a set.

I seems like a great tool, not pleased about the documentation though!

hi all,, i just got the bcd3000 and running traktor le on vista, had a couple of pauses over the last few weeks but nothing serious, as i'm no pro, just gettin in to it at the mo, so no biggie ;-) have heard that FutureDecks Pro runs on both
MacOSX and Windows XP/Vista so if all else fails, could be worth a try, its compatible with the bcd 3000 too,, good luck!

Did you turn off wifi? I have a desktop connected wirelessly, and all I needed to do was disable it. End of problems.
