Traktor 3 LE Question 101 Just converting.

I just converted from PC to MacBook and I'm going through the learning curve.

I just bought the Traktor 3 LE with the MK2 midi control.

When I launch the Trakor 3 LE application an upgrade to version 3.2.2 box opens and I log on to the Upgrade web site, it says that if I registered after Sept. 06 that the upgrad if free, but In the upgrade site I only see manuals for other languages.

Also, I was wondering if my MK2 can be configered to have the jog wheels set to scratch on or off, at the moment I have to hold down the #3 effect button to be able to scratch, which is totally unpractical.

BPM's, can they be displayed in the track collection list or is it a feature only available in the History folders? I Analyze (Async) the folder and then used the export printable and there I was able to see all the options that I would like to choose and set in the Track Collection List folder. Can this folder be personalized?

I would appreciate any suggestions.

please contact support on that

there's a whole chapter about *adjusting the look of traktor* in the manual, but here a first hint: right/ ctrl-click on the browsers header and you'll see all available columns. check and uncheck the columns you want to see or hide. then, drag the columns in the order you like.

Your command worked, thank you for the hint. It looks like I left my manual at work, but I checked my PDF version on the CD and didn't find anything on adjusting the look of Traktor.


As for the double posting, sorry about that, I am new to the forum, it won't happen again.

 

Wrong manual

It turns out that the only manual I got from Long & McQuade is for the MK2 midi controller. The only manual I got for the Traktor 3 LE is the PDF file that is on the instalation CD. I am considering the upgrade to ver. 3.2.2 but I have to make some of my money back first. Is ver 3 LE considered good enough for commercial use?

I still have issues with Jog wheels on the MK2 and I haven't figured out how to customize it yet, is it costomizable?

I will be adding Traktor to my DJing set up shortly I could use a few tips on the best configuration.

sorry, i thought you already have 3.2.2 - traktor LE is limited in features, the advanced adjustment of the GUI is one of them.

 

Scratching with LE

hey - first, lemme vent and note that perhaps the full version of Traktor may be great by the hercules/traktor LE combo is not...It's complicated and the instructions are not accurate.

Which bring me to the scratching thing - Although the manual explains scratching technics with teh crossfader and so on and so forth.

To scratch on the hercules, you must
1. hold down the #3 button
2. move jog wheel back/forth
BUTT! once the 3 is held down, it deactivates the crossfader - Its not a bug, thats how it works - (straight from Hercules support)
