Traktor 3 LE

NI have announced new software called Traktor LE:

"Based on the award-winning TRAKTOR DJ Studio 3, this smaller version offers two decks and an integrated 2-channel mixer..... "

Could this be the new Traktor that is an updated version of Traktor 2.53 / 2.6 that many users still prefer over the full Traktor 3?

How does one obtain this piece of software? Could I trade in my T3 for it?

The little pitch indicator light thingy is still horizontal though, and why the hell are the pitch sliders on the right side? Jeez Soo silly.

Turn your monitor unside down and the pitch sliders will be on the left ;-) Are U a southpaw or summint??

Whats with the obsession people have with the pitch fader PLACEMENT??? I could understand the argument at least a bit if it was physical but its not! Its a graphical representation to show setting and state. Are people unable and or unwilling to make the leap from from the physical to graphical representations? Sol long as the graphical representation is accurate and can easily show state it should not matter right?

I hear you man, totally. But still it's like someone is doing it backwards on purpose. Why not just follow some kind of a standard, it's not like it makes any difference to the programmer. Why does the UI need to be sooooo odd, it's like the dudes writing this software have never been behind a set of decks.

I don't know why, but it really really bugs me.

Pitcher faders are on the right on my Decks on Techs and most others right? so I'm missing something here I think????

As for the disabling the mixer, I don't know and I don't have it installed right now, Got summint different installed, nuff said.
I'll ask and see.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but Technics, Pioneer, Stanton, Vestax, Numark and all other decks I've seen in my whole life, they got the pitch on the right side.

No offense, but if I were the dude writing the software, I would tell YOU have never been behind a set of decks...

Hey what is the Difference Features between T3 Studio and LE?
other than the Pitch FADER/Knob.....

Two Things...
1/ Why would you downgrade to LE? Other than less features whats it get you?

2/ LE is intended as a bundle up package for products like the Herc Controller etc. As I understand it, it will not be sold retail from NI.

In a sense its buy a controller, get LE with it.

Just that. There's zilions of features in TDJS3 that I don't need - in fact, like I said many times in the past, the only reason I use TDJS3 is because it's far better coded than FS2 software. In other words - if I could have a better... no, not better - well! written FS2 software, I wouldn't even look at TDJS, especially since I only need it to "drive" FinalScratch.
