Of course Traktor will see some that. It was mentioned in the article about some of the money going to existing products (maschine/Traktor/komplete). Plus digital services and marketing.

Currently there is no one leading the Traktor team. That in my opinion is the biggest problem.

Just look how active is the Maschine forum with the new 2.7 update

Whether that's true or not it doesn't mean the team is asleep, despite the low output.

Come now Karlos. One full year for some colors and you call that 'low output'? Look over the Maschine forum. The developers are answering question and sharing roadmaps with users. Why around here they keep silence? The development of Traktor is obviously on alt for some reason..

Erm, yeah low output. How else should I put it? It's not my place to play around with superlatives. I'm well aware of how little has been added to Traktor recently.
    It's not.
You have made your point numerous times. I see no point in repeating yourself.

I understand members frustration, I have expressed my own frustration many times but this thread has descended into a repeat of the same criticism.
If it carries on I'll just close the thread as it's serving no purpose other than to be a vehicle for wild speculation and bashing.

And how would you know this? In any case IF there is somebody is not doing so good.. Maybe that's why NI posted that Job?

Karlos one more thing. Do you know at least why they cut all communication with us?

I've been on Traktor since Final Scratch 1.0. It's overdue for an overhaul, but I still love it. The S8 was my favorite Traktor controller (owned all of them over the years), but I could not get around the need for manual beat-matching - which meant lugging my old Technicss around - so I sold it.

I am now on the Denon Prime 4-channel standalone ecosystem and it works well for my current needs - but make no mistake, if a new S8 with jog wheels and tempo faders were to come out next year (with a Traktor 3 update that was significant), I'd probably be all over it.

These days, when I open Traktor, I am blown away by how dated it suddenly looks on my screen. It never seemed that way when I used it constantly. Maybe I'm spoiled now by the screens on my SC5000. Who knows. The Prime setup is rad, but it's also 5k retail & their mixer has an issue with tempo-locking to the session (so it's currently difficult to get the fx to match tempo across each individual deck, unless all four are techno 122BPM). Those two points aside, this stuff is SOLID. It's as creatively inspiring as Traktor (STEMS and REMIX DECKS aside)... Dead stable, standalone, portable. Awesome.

I like where Pioneer is going - Hell, I have the DJS-1000 and the two Toraiz units in my studio (SP16 and AS1). I really dlslike their CDJs and I think their standalone unit is a joke. It's two simple channels with rudimentary controls. No thanks.

If they'd make a four channel standalone that matched the Traktor possiblities (STEMS aside), THAT would turn me into a Pioneer Dj dude for at least long enough to test their product fully at home. Otherwise, their actual DJ stuff isn't welcome in my setup.

I agree somewhat with the "I'm leaving" posts being only so entertaining - but I have a long history with NI and Traktor and I silently jumped ship in January, so that's gotta say something. I'm voting for them to re-vamp Traktor and add Maschine decks, a better controller for guys like me who want it ALL, and increased stability with Maschine/KK so a single quad core MacBook Pro can run the entire thing smoothly... Until then, we seek other solutions.

ye i agree , it's not normal for a software to be over 6 years old and almost left for dead.

I know some are seeking other options, but we all know when Traktor comes out with a new controller and a big software update everybody who switched is going to be right back. Watch!

We all know the ball is in NI's court and Traktor and it's development has been way too much of a zombie for anyones' good (for the users who feel forced to switch & move their setup into a new ecosystem due to lack of features & support from NI, and neither for NI who must now hope to convince everyone from scratch again after the sh*t show of the last years...).
And no repeating of mantra's ad infinitum either way (of the people promising to leave Traktor for good, or the ones seeing the next NI milestone is just around the corner... for what is it, 5 years now...?) is going to change that.

haha new you'd be on this chris, what a lovely piece. almost clicked preorder until i saw they had removed the grid adjust hardware buttons from previous units. my only gripe coming from traktor is the way rekordbox just cant plant the first beat grid marker in the correct spot (mostly on non 4x4 digital modern music)

i constantly have to move the grid for bpm purposes and to get hot cues in the right place.

i also see they have gone back to a fixed 4 bar loop button, which probaly should have been 8 arguably with no way to adjust is on the controller.

apart from that though this has got me dribbling, what a sexy controller.

i was glad to see they ditched the touch strip in favour of actual search buttons much more accurate and intuative.

everything else on there is just sick. a bit more info on work arounds and ill purchase this.

i had to sell my ddjRZ recently because it was just to heavey at 12kg including hard case and currently running the RR at 3.5kg. this ddj1000 at 6.1kg might be a great compromise.

the traktor S4 mk3 with Traktor 3, release date?

if the DDJ-RX is anything to go on, i would'nt waste my time or money on anything dedicated to rekordbox, or anything pioneer again

what is the extra $400 or so paying for on the 1000, nothing. with the DDJ-RX you are paying $500 for some extra alloy and fancy buttons and knobs when inside its less complex then a vestax VCI-400 and a american audio VMS4.1

sampler for each remix deck, and assign slots
    colored hot cues
    slip mode
    reverse play
upto 8 midi modifiers in controller mapping
a blink out LED for end of track warning etc. where your able to set the timing of the blink, to get a play button blinking

    all done and finished
