You have no idea. I stage manage festivals and there is never even a second of dead air between my change-overs.

Here are some photo's from Carl Cox's Pure gig here in Melbourne last year:
    IMG_1445.JPG IMG_1452.JPG

First one is 2 CDJ consoles with different mixers, both rolling decks beside each other ready for the close one to be pushed across to between the foldback (booth) speakers.

The second one is Carl with his Traktor setup finishing up and Adam Beyer is making sure his first track is ready ... his console is about 30cm higher than Carl's ... and yes there is spaghetti there but once again it was a seamless changeover.

THAT is how it's done in the real world, 2 consoles on rolling risers so you can slide them in and out easily and setup ready for the next one.

what is there to understand, if NI make a new controller and want people to actually buy it or for cheaper controllers to use traktor natively like most do with serato, then NI needs to add the main features i have listed before anything else

NI make money on every controller other companies sell with a OEM traktor licence

booth cable routing are a mess, if a club does'nt want everyone messing around with cables which link everything to the main system, and engineers mixer, they should spend $300 on benchtop faceplates, so different events can easily setup hardware they bring

mean while back in the real world there is no stage manager, no sound engineer, no room for more **** and dj's pulling wires out of mixers like a game of kaplunk hoping the sound stays on during change overs lolollol
