Traktor 3 Upgrade

    Hi all,

    I recently purchased the Traktor Pro 2 Upgrade version to allow me to upgrade my old installation of Traktor 3

    However whatever I try here on my Snow Leopard Mac whenever I try and activate Traktor Pro 2 I receive and error message that my computer does not contain the correct base product.

    I have reinstalled Traktor 3 and then Pro from scratch. Called Tech support and sent them two emails and have had no joy what so ever.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    you have to give support 2-3 days for an answer. lots of anecdotal evidence suggests they're not faster than that. anecdotal evidence also suggests that the support forgets about a question every now and then. if you think the support forgot your question, you can post the ticket no. here and a mod can push the ticket for you.

    as for your question: make sure that the qualifying base product is activated in service center before you install TP2.

    EDIT: also, shouldn't you contact registration support as opposed to tech support?

    Well I followed the registration support links to the form. My bad is writing tech support.
    But yes Traktor 3 is activated.
    I'll give it until the end of today and ask for a push then.

    I'm in the same boat, although I got a response that it would be fixed last week, it has not.

    Are you upgrading from Traktor Scratch Pro? That's what I did, and I got the same message as you. It sounds like they are telling me that you cannot upgrade from Traktor Scratch Pro 1.x > Traktor Pro 2. However when I made my upgrade, there was only ONE version of Traktor Pro 2, so I assumed it worked with the "Scratch" version as well. Apparently it isn't, even though at the time it was the ONLY version of Traktor 2 available on the product page. Since then I got an email with a direct link to a "scratch" specific Traktor SCRATCH Pro 2.

    Confusing, but should be an easy fix, I'll let you know if I hear anything today. Oh, I also recived an updated invoice stating that I "already recieved my serial" but I have not.

    This issue now resolved due to a phone call to the German technical support line.
    To be fair once the problem was properly identified they went above and beyond to help.
