    Hello everyone!

I just bought a new A&H Xone PX5 and I can’t get it to work with Traktor 3. Somehow the Tiimecode vinyl isn’t detected. The output is working but I can’t get it to communicate with the timecode vinyl. I use one of the first timecode vinyls. They came with Audio 4.

    Pc on Win 10

I know the little button on the back has to be in the right position and as far as I’m concerned it is.

Here are some photos of the configuration.

I could really use some help.

You need to configure the Input Routing.

It keeps saying “not connected”. That’s the issue.

I also get a driver error. I am getting to the point a complete fresh install is the only solution.

Ok so on my old Celeron slow laptop I managed to get the drivers to work (that seems to be the problem) and on my angry Intel i7 new one the drivers just won’t install correctly.

I had two scenarios where scratch was disabled.

The first and main issue was due to driver signature enforcement on my son’s Surface Book 2(win 10). If you haven’t successfully had scratch enabled yet with the Xone PX5, I’d check if this is your issue as well.

You can check by going to windows device manager and scroll to the Xone PX5 audio devices. If there’s a yellow exclamation with notes about the signature then this may be your issue.

Searching for solutions on the internet I found a number of ways to install the driver successfully but only one way that worked for me after rebooting. My solution was removing secure boot. Here is more info on ways to get past the signature issue:

Again, the one and only step that worked for me long term (from that link above) was the very last step where it talks about disabling secure boot:

“The value is protected by Secure Boot policy”, it means Secure Boot is enabled for your computer’s UEFI firmware. Disable it in your computer’s UEFI Firmware Settings to enable test signing mode via Advanced Startup Options.

The second issue I ran into was the next day; my son plugged in his laptop and it recognized the PX5, he could play audio through the line channels but scratch was disabled again. I noticed he plugged in the Xone on a different usb port so I changed it to the port I originally installed the driver and viola, scratch was enabled again.

I hope some of this helps the OP or anyone searching google...

Step 1 from the link you’ve provided did the trick for me it seems. Turned off the driver signature enforcement and reinstalled the driver. My PX5 was recognised instantly and the inputs in Traktor work! Thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge!

Glad to hear it. If you have the chance to check out the new xone 96 - highly recommended!
