I have searched but I cant find exactly what Im looking for so Ill just ask.

If someone has a setup of Traktor and tqo cdj2000's and a mixer in the mix using a Macbook Pro that works without any issues could you please list how you have it setup....ex.....using what usb or decks plugged into the laptop themselves.....ex.....and what features on the CDJ work and do not work.....ex....does the reverse switch work on reversing the virtual deck.

Im not sure if my Traktor software is behaving correctly it seems a bit off when I scratch of manipulate the deck and watch the software.

    I have all current updates

    Thanks

Does anyone use their CDJ2000 with Traktor that I could ask some questions about their setup?

The only fault you did was choosing Traktor as a DVS for use with CDJs.

I've had CDJ 2000 here from time to time and tested it with Traktor... The simple thing is that Traktor's HID is bad... bad & incomplete.

I tried the HID of Serato & (don't laugh) Virtual DJ... those HID is nearly perfect. Traktor may be fine for control vinyl or controllers but it isn't the right Software for us - unfortunately :(

    Control

I am so pissed. I thought I did enough research but I realize I really did not.

To use my CDJ 2000 what software and or hardware really work?

I am so disappointed and feel like I just walked out of Guitar Center and need to take a physical and emotional bath to cleanse myself.

I was really hoping to split my setup and use one cdj to controll my computer and some software and use the other with a hrad drive or disk....etc.....

    Any suggestions?

Gees I'm glad I didn't get the CDJ 2000's, That is very mis-leading on Native Instruments part. I was going to go spend over 3k to be pissed. Well they did release a DJM 900 w/ traktor stamped on the box, see how that works out.

It's true that HID implementation is poor, however I'd never consider buying CDJ-2000s for use as a glorified MIDI controller with ANY software. Fair enough if you're gonna play CDs in them too, but as regards actually controlling the software, you can do so much more for so much less.

I love my CDJ's. But I guess the abilty to use Traktor and them is not going to be real.

If I wanted to use a controller with Traktor which is in everyones opinion the way to go?

I really like Traktor for some purposes, I just would like to hear how some people use it?

I use my cdj 2000s with traktor because I still like to feel of using decks while DJing but I also have my x1 plugged in aswell and still use it for effects, loops and selecting tracks etc

Well, i'm using it that way also, altough it's HID is standard (not advanced), it still does the job. Only thing that is unusable is scratch, if You can live without it, You can play. Advanced HID would be great, but i wouldn't say standard is totally unusable. I'm using cdj2ks as decks C and D (as a main decks) and X1 for A and B decks. Pio DJM 2000 mixer mappable display to play samples.

    Parhaps someday...
    Cheers
