    Hi I have a very simple question. The Traktor manual refrences the Traktor Collection. However there is no clear explanation in the manual.

    I assume it is a database that links to the physical files. Does it write or alter the mp3 tags? Will it sync if I update, remove or add new files.

    An explanation would be useful!

    Absolutely correct. It's essentially a modified XML database.

    Yes it does, automatically

    You can set it to automatically check consistency on startup, in which case yes it will detect missing files (user intervention is required afterward to either relocate the file reference or simply delete the database entry), and you can set it to import the music folders on startup, in which case it scans the specified music folders for new files.
