I posted this over at Denon DJ, but since it seems to be a TP2 issue, I am posting it here in hopes of getting some clarification regarding the Cue buttons on the MC6000 from a paused or stopped deck. Here goes:

Latest firmware on Denon, Traktor Pro 2.1.2.

I have my decks set to "auto" so that the Master is toggled by the active deck and then the other deck follows as a sync deck. 2 deck setup.

When i click the "sync" button on the deck I'd like to sync, it turns blue, and, at a minimum, it sets the BPM of the sync deck to the same tempo as the other deck. That's great, and that's about where it ends for me.

Somehow, the "sync" deck is doing all sorts of "guessing" as to when it should bring any cue point in. If I hit a cue point on deck "B,", let's call that the sync deck, it will DELAY for some unknown reason in order to "sync" with the master. The issue is it literally "waits" before it triggers the cue point and makes the cue points virtually useless for me. I can't do an accurate cut right on the beat given the fact the cue point will trigger with a delay when the sync button is lit. If I turn the sync button on just to align the BPM, then shut it off, the cue point on Deck B will trigger as soon as I hit it, which is, of course, exactly what I need it to do. I can bang on all 4 cue point buttons and make up an entirely new cut, but not with Sync lit..it just cues when it wants to...

Now, let's say I set the Sync button to "On." Get my BPMs lined up, turn it OFF, then start to mix. If I choose to turn the sync button ON again, it literally JUMPS the track somewhere forward and tries to line me up, usually wrong, btw. I have Snap and Quantize turned OFF at the moment as that hasn't seemed to help. For now, it's "Turn Sync On, Line up BPM, Turn it back off." I can't imagine that's the way it's supposed to work.

Do you leave the sync button on beyond getting initial BPMs lined up? This has been an issue for me since I got both the MC6000 and TP2...as an aside, this happens only when I'm triggering the "sync" deck from a paused or stopped state. If the track is already playing, I can trigger it right on cue, it just can't hang from a dead stop or pause.

The issue is causing me to turn on the sync button to align the BPM, then shut off the sync button altogether. It's causing awful train wrecks in my ability to do accurate cueing.

I have my sync set to Tempo sync, btw, in the Prefs. Maddening!

Lastly, and for what it's worth, I also own VDJ 7. I can cue all over the place and I get triggers that are dead-nuts on every time...something isn't fire correctly between TP2 and the MC6000...
    Thanks!

This seems to be related to the beat grids itself on the affected tracks. Can anyone explain? Beat grids in TP2 are definitely hit or miss...

I would say "sometimes." I now understand how critically important this is for cue points to work correctly. I have the sync button set to "Hold" on the DMC6000 for the moment so I can at least tempo-match. I am slowly going through my library and doing beat grids to get this sorted but for now, with the Sync button set to "Hold" at least my cue points are coming in exactly when I press the cue button...then I just ride the pitch to line it up...working for the time being and thanks!

I was just coming to post about this. So far I've found no way around it except for the same thing you've described. It's not about the beatgrids, I'm a perfectionist with mine and I still get this. In fact, I've tested it with putting the cue point up to 10ms before the beat and it still stalls and plays late. Definitely very annoying.

Have you tried it with the snap and quantize switched on?

Do you mean your cue point lines up with the first beat? I'm not sure I understand where you're trying to set the cue point. Are you setting a cue point whilst paused and just scrolling through or whilst in play mode? With Quantize and Snap turned on hot cuse will line up with the beat grid turn them off and you can set a hot cue off the beat.
Another thing you could try is to set a 2nd beat marker

someone in this thread already asked if you do have tempo or beat sync chosen in the prefs?
