Traktor DJ 1.6.2. update

it's finally here and the AUDIO2 now works with iOS8! let's party!

But six months since the issue was confirmed?
Yesterday i was happy like crazy that new update is coming, but that`s it? Only Audio 2 issue resolved. No new features, no new in-app purchases?

I`m not using AUDIO 2 at all, so i feel a bit disappointed.

 

Behold to the hard programming work! It took you only 5 months to fix (1.6.1 released on 20 Oct 2014)... NI, you are really ridiculous....

 

Anyone else notice the "new effects" going away? Iceverb, transpose and reverse?

 

I wish I could confirm this, but I havnt updated this time as there is no point at all. I'm really happy for audio 2 users though.

Would be much clearer if NI bothered with such thing like the more detailed changelog....

 

d000d, yer battery is runnin' low... to reiterate iob's comment, I'm really happy for Audio2 users.

 

After the update I noticed that they were missing. I have 'Reverse' set as default in FX slot 2 and there was nothing there. Opening the tray revealed those 3 FX were no longer listed.

This fixed it - Go the the settings -> Features -> tap Restore Purchases. Once you get the restore confirmation, close the app completely (go to the multitasking tray and swipe up on the TDJ app window).

Reopen the app and everything should be good.

Yeah, I think the reason the audio2 didn't work for so long is that they were trying to make the software work with only NI sound cards and not with other 3rd party hardware, can't say for sure this is the reason as NI don't seem to speak.

I have a different sound card that I bought specifically to use with a toslink connector as I need an optical out & non of the NI gear has that. This card still doesn't work with Traktor DJ on the latest update (even though it works with every other software I have on the iPad) & now probably won't work again. Well I'm on the lookout for some different software anyway, it's only a matter of time before something better than Traktor DJ comes out. I just feel ripped off that I paid £16 or whatever it was when it first came out. At that time I was overjoyed with it & everything worked great, now I'm just annoyed....

ibob, midi clock isn't related to controlling traktor dj with other HW, but to simply sync Traktor Dj and other SW (reason, traktor pro, maschine, ableton live, protools, logic and so on...) or other apps...

I'm speaking about MIDI Sync of Traktor Dj App, not universal MIDI Controll of the App, I'm not interested in this kind of task...

 

I do know what you mean, I was just generalising. I've been trying out the midi clock on dj player , got it to work with certain ipad apps only at the moment. I couldn't get meta dj to work with any inter app other than ableton and even then the sync wasn't the greatest. Maybe you will have more luck. I'm gonna give up on Traktor very soon...

So a few days after my above post on how to get the effects to appear again....they were gone. Tried several things to no result of them appearing again. Ordered the lightning connector cable that NI now has for sale in the web shop, received it and connected it with the S4mk2 and all the effects are back again. Opened TDJ again without the S4mk2 connected and they still show up. Odd, but will continue to keep an eye on this.
