Traktor DJ 1.6.2. update

Already tried. Even uninstalled TDJ, then reinstalled it, then restored purchases, still nothing... still no "new effetcs".
I was so happy to have a TA2 working again.. that was too beautiful to be true.

 

Weird.. so checked again on my System: iOS 8.1, TDJ 1.6.2.
10 available effects: Delay - Reverb - Gater - Flanger - Beatmasher - Digital LoFi - Reverse - Iceverb - Transpose - LP Filter - HP Filter
..BUT (is this the reason ?) I did not update to iOS 8.2, still using 8.1

@spits: did it work with iOS 8.1 on your iPad ? also with TDJ 1.6.2 ?
@ibob: do you have the effects available on your iPad Air2 ? Are you on 8.1 or 8.2 ?

 

for my problem there is no solution??? none of native instruments engeniers haven't found an real solution???

Correct... They were there with iOS 8.1, but not 8.2....

 

Dj Hairless: Again, don't expect any answer from NI engineer in this forum !! You mentined earlier, you already plan to refound your TA2, maybe the best you can do, if you are still not satisfied or struggle with any HW issues. Complains in this thread will not reach NI !. Or ask TA2 user directly e.g. @Simon Iddol, maybe they could give you some feedback regarding charging experiences

I've already address this issue to native instruments support...they gave me some solution that can't be applied to me... Was for traktor Dj pro.... I don't think that I must send back the TA2 cause the issue is not with TA2.... The problem is with traktor Dj app maybe still is not 100% compatible with TA2....I will stop posting... But the problem is that the my issues are not solved

 

My idea was not to push you in stopping posting , but maybe more successfull if you send some PM directly to other TDJ & TA2 user. One of them should know the regular behavior with flashing lights on TA2 ... and pls. let us know the results. Thx.

 

I'm on ios 8.2 with TDJ 1.6.2.
I guess it's the last time I update right away my ios...

 

It's a shame ... it really looks like that 1.6.2 disables effects in iOS 8.2 (don't ask me why...).

And yes, I also hate this apple one-way strategy, no way to downgrade iOS back. ! It's possible to downgrade apps (also TDJ), but not the iOS itself.

Do you have any older iPad backup in itunes (with an TDJ version 1.6.1 or 1.5.x ?) - maybe older TDJ keep the effects also with iOS 8.2 .. small hope.

At the end of the day someone is not doing their job properly... Releasing an update yet the effects have gone and it can cause crashing . It wasnt like this update was rushed out was it? And it was a minimal update...the traktor dj office must seriously be the last one on the left just past the toilets ...

 

Ni tdj should source out the old meta dj staff who were years ahead...

 

Hi to all who were wondering about loosing effects iceverb, etc. through update to ios8.2.
I'm still on ios8.1.3 and lost them as well (traktor version 1.6.2). They were there in November. But i updated to ios 8.1.3 in January....

Tried the restore purchase but didn't work for me. I'm curently traveling in Asia and took the Z1 and ipad just for fun, so i have no chance of linking up to any other hardware.

I realised something else today, as i was djing at a small party for a longer period of time. When loading the song just beneath (or even 2 or 3 beneath) the playing track (i usually have my playlists sorted by bpm, last one heartbeat symbol), it loaded the same track... The name was of the new one but the wav pattern and the cue points and the music playing was of the same track, which was already playing. Then i just chose the next one in line to check and that one was fine. But it happened about five times With five different tracks. I haven't checked yet if the problem is in Itunes (on ipad), or not. I'll do that in the morning.
Anyone had this before?

 

Thanks for the info! ... take away: lost effects are not because of iO2 8.2. Meanwhile we also got the feedback from Simon, he works on 8.2 and did not lose the effects

Exactly: With my iPad 4, IOS 8.2, TDJ 1.6.2 these effects were present immediately after the upgrade and at the next opening they were gone. I tried to cancel the app and download it again and restore the purchases. Nothing. I have the same problem, these effects are present and playable until I quit the app. At the next opening they are gone.
BUT my iPhone 6 is not affected.
Is it ok with the iPad Air and not with the iPad 4??

 

I wrote a mail to the Native Instruments Support Team. Now this Bug is tracked under case number ITR-5435. So let's see when the Effects are back.

Here we go again!! Any official word with TDJ and ios 8.4. Has it been optimised to work better with this new ios 8? (Probably not). Or is it 'get lucky?' Has the search page bug been fixed?
