    Hi everyone,

I'm new with DJing and I just bought my first controller, a second-hand Pioneer DDJ-SB.
I would like to use it with Traktor DJ 2 but it is not Traktor ready. As I am a real noob I couldn't find the way to link the controller with Traktor DJ 2 : DDJ-SB is normally used with Serato, but it is not available on Mac OS Big Sur and I prefer to use Traktor DJ 2 as my friends are all using this software.
Is there a way to make them work together ? I tried Controller Editor but didn't understand how it works.

Sorry I'm real noob lol. It would be awesome if someone here has the answer.

    Thank you and good day.

    Ruben

being a noob is not a problem at all, welcome ;)
Today TDJ2 does not support any controller from other companies (suports NI stuff only, e.g: S2,S3, S4, Z1, A2 ..). In opposite to the open midi connectivity of Traktor Pro. So currently now way at all, sorry for telling. Currently you need Traktor Pro for using such controller

Hope this will change in future, i am exited too to add non NI controller on my iPad with TDJ2 ;)

Hi Kalo, thank you for the answer !
So you are basically telling me that I can use my DDJ-SB with Traktor Pro 3 ? DDJ-SB is no MIDI but only USB.

Yes. I never tested DDJ-SB, but as long it supports midi protocol (via usb) it should work, i just goggled around 'Traktor DDJ-sb' and find many mappings ;),(also Traktor 2 mappings work in TPro 3), e.g.:
https://www.traktorbible.com/freaks/mappingview.aspx?id=736, or the user mappings here:
    https://maps.djtechtools.com/mappings?search[software_id]=29 (search your controller)

Or ask the Traktor folks, use this forum: https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/forums/dj-controllers.221/

Maybe try it, good luck, enjoy
