Since the updated ios (8.4.1) for my iPad 2 traktor DJ now crashes if I start scrolling through tunes to search.
It happens almost every time, if I scroll past the first most visible tunes, while a track is playing. This makes it essentially unusable for me. Any hints, updates, how to fix this?

Downgrade the app to 1.6.1 if you can.

thanks for the advice! How do I do that? It's for iPad, so I don't seem to have a backup folder for it on my Mac, I only see the app itself in my Mobile Applications folder inside my iTunes folder

I'm sad to say, you can only downgrade it if you still have an older copy on another ipad. I could send you a ipa file for it, but itunes would not let you use it as it's linked to my account and itunes. Crap I know.

wow, that's pretty bad news. so basically it's just stopped working and there's nothing else I can do?

I'm afraid so. I've ended up with two ipad because of this. One with ios 7 and one with the latest ios which just doesn't work with TDJ.
You can try ios 9 to see if that helps. Otherwise, there is no solution and ni are nowhere to be seen... You could try find someone with an older copy of tdj and link your ipad to their itunes. You can create multiple libraries, but you'd have to erase your ipad and keep going back to that computer to update your library. Or start purchasing songs, or jailbreak maybe??

My ipad air 2 (with S2) crashed during a gig, so i had to figure out, what happened. When I try to load a track while the app loads another, the app crashes. So, my method is, load a track, wait until it loads and analyzes (uncompress or something), and not load another one in a hurry. It seems to work for me. If your app crashes when you try to scroll your songs, I have no idea what you can do. :/ but this is really irritating.

Let your iPad load and analyse ALL tracks before you start your gig. Trying to play while it is analysing in the background is asking for trouble.

Everything is analyzed, of course, I didn't wanted to use the word "analyze", but you know. So, it's just loading. It crashes when I load a track before it fully load another one. (it happens, you know, i push the load button, ahh, this isn't the right song, pull another and boom, crash.)
