Traktor DJ folder in iCloud disappeared - how to solve

Last week I struggled with a problem. The Traktor DJ folder in iCloud disappeared (using iCloud app on iOS and using an Internet browser on PC, couldn't find in both). I have no idea why this happened .. but i remember some user in past who had similar problems, we never found the reason, and never found a solution to get the Traktor DJ folder back (except making a complete iPad restore).

I was quite frustrated as I spent a lot of effort in grid and hot cue definitions .. and could not make a backup because folder missed .

So here my take aways, I tested all, nothing helped ... DON'T DO:

• reinstall of TDJ does not help (Traktor folder on iCloud does not appear)
• remove and reinstall does not solve either (btw: this will erase all metadata) .. what happened to me .. because I found the solution below too late
• remove all songs from iPad and sync them again (btw: this will erase all metadata too)
• any iOS updates i tested .. did not help
• deinstall and reinstall iOS iCloud app did not help
• creating and Traktor DJ folder manually did not help (TDJ does ignore them)
• a complete restore of iPad DOES recreate a new Traktor DJ folder, but this i did NOT want, so i looked for a simple solution ...

This simple trick helped me to get the 'Traktor DJ' folder on iCloud back:

• Disconnect iPad from iCloud .. and reconnect again, possible in iOS settings:
• goto iPad settings ... user account (first menu item) ... iCloud ... scroll to 'iCloud Drive'
• switch off ... then switch on again

I am not sure if you will lose any iCloud data from other apps (so maybe check iPages or Keynotfiles etc.. first, make a manual backup first!) … but this simple switch off/on solved all problems, my Traktor DJ folder is back. TDJ works well (and i can access my collection.nml.gz inside as a backup of my meta data)

Have you updated it? If not then first update it and if it is already updated then maybe there is some technical issue for that case you can take help from mcafee customer service they will provide you the best solution regarding the technical issues.

 

Sure i always work with latest Version, 1.6.8, btw no update since 1 year.
My workaround above works well, and may help other user. McAffe or whatever company not needed.
