Please sort out the ScratchAmp drivers. Despite reporting that I'm a Mac user, support still told me to download the new drivers. But there are only drivers available for PC users to download.

And don't pretend I'm the first user to report audio drop-outs.

Sort out support between Stanton and NI. I didn't spend nearly two months' rent on this product to have two support teams point fingers at each other.

Get Traktor 2.6 to work as advertised before expecting users to shell out for a paid update. And guess what - we'll be more likely to pay for that update if we're confident in the existing product to begin with!

UPDATE MORE OFTEN! And when you update, fix problems first before introducing new ones (aka "features"). If discussions about Traktor 3 are getting so sidelined by quality concerns about previous versions, that indicates to me that we're not ready for T3!

This is why I'm one of the Traktor users here who only uses version 2.5.3 live, and on the verge of leaving for Scratch Live. I'D RATHER NOT, after the time, money, and energy I've devoted to Traktor/FS2, so if you can convince me to stay, I'd love to.

Read and participate in the forums to let your users know you're still involved with the product. I don't think I've said anything in this post that hasn't been covered here many times already.

Thanks, PhilL. I feel a bit better now.

I agree with monkeybiz, forget about bringing out a newer version until the problems have been fixed in the present version.

No problems mate, Your problems are very much on the radar. I have some 47 issues big and small ALL TDJ that I want and expect fixed at least 12 are so far. Hobbes has even more for FS I believe and all testers are pushing hard to get them fixed in T3.

Not doing T3 in preference for fixing 2.6 is NOT going to happen! Its that simple. Nuff said.

Sorry to bust yer bubble PhilL,but people will never "grumble and Gripe" where and when you want 'em to.
I look at the title of this thread and I suddenly feel happy and like everything is going to turn out ok after all:)
I'm sure though, that if we work it we can push at least some attitude in here.

    (sorry to go off topic)

I kind of get the feeling like NI might actually be some massive supercomputer that operates independant of humans, spitting out new software at random and generating semi intelligent cut and paste responses to placate the humans that have difficulty interacting with the code that has been generated.
I mean seriously, has anyone here ever had non cut and paste dialogue with NI that had any signs of sentient life behind it?

    (****,I'm sorry.Waaay off topic again!Won't happen again.)

except of a lot of other issues beeing discussed lately, i would like to know one thing: how about performance and/or hardware requirements within tdjs 3? any changes or higher hardware requirements?

i could manage to run 2.6.2 in time stretching mode on my toshiba 2.0 ghz notebook with 512mb ram smoothly only after setting up a clean audio optimized system. i'm asking myself what will happen when i will run 4 decks (or at least 3) in time stretching mode and using other cpu consuming functions at the same time?

phil do have already collected any experiences on this?

offtopic: thx phil for your great support here. ni should pay you gazillions of euros (or at least dollars) for this work here. i always thought whining and complaining about everything and everybody is something very german. but within this forum i get the feeling this is more universal than i ever thought ;-)

Here are my issue with this.

I bought TraktorFS and the upgrade to TraktorFS 1.5. It worked, but was never 100% stable. I was able to play live with it and was able to get around most of the issues. I had lengthy discussion with Support, NI and Hobbes about the issues. FS2 was in the wings and it was promised that this would solve these issues.

I eventually opted for the Trade In and got TraktorFS2 in December (the first shipment) before touring Europe with it. It's performance has been way better than FS1.5, but again it's not been perfect and has even dropped my in a live environment. One update so far has not fixes the issues.

I have persevered in the hope that these bugs would be addressed with updates. Still no fix almost a year on...

I also got TraktorDJStudio 2.6 as part of my Trade In, This added some nice features to what was available in FS, but this too has well documented bugs that as yet have not been fixed...

Now it seems that these bugs will be left as is in the hope that we will all buy T3, which promises to fix these bugs. See the pattern forming?

This is a little difficult to swallow. It seems that every time NI get cornered with bugs they just release a new product that you have to pay for???

I'm really excited about the features in T3, but what concerns me here is that if I buy T3 with all the promises that it will fix the bugs present in 2.6 within a year I will be expected to buy T3.5 that now promises to fix the bugs in T3... This is the history I have experienced with NI so far... will it change? I'm not sure. The sad part is that the mods on this forum get it in the neck and not the developers... One of the reason we don't see Hobbes here anymore I guess...

I think my money will be going to Ableton… In the few months that Live 5 has been out there have been 2 updates. You even get and email to let you know about the update and what has been fixed. Yes the product is not flawless, but at least the support is there when you need it and I can live without vinyl control…

It will take some time to feel comfortable with it playing out, but I'm sure it will open up new and iteresting ways of performing the music I love. And that is what this is all about anyway... the music.

i really don't understand the attitude of some users here. there was an official thread about t3. it has been said clearly and loud: this is an official thread about t3 and no "complaining thread" about bugs of older versions.

the opposite happened: people understood this wish more as an invite to complain about older versions. result was: the thread has been murdered by all these whiners.

now there is a new one and the same wish has been posted: please keep on topic and talk about t3. what happens? same ****. is it so difficult to read? everything, really everything about bugs in older version has been discussed already. phil announced it dozens of times: yes i have this bugs to be fixed in t3 on my radar. why posting the same **** over and over again?

in addition to that: what value do i get from a posting of somebody who is telling me that he is changing now to ableton? do it but keep it for yourself. we are not at all interested what software you are using, you will use, never will use and never will use again.

    just my 2 cents

My issue is with T3. THe fact that it claims to fix bugs that exist in 2.6 at a cost to me. This has happened from when I bought TraktorFS. Every update has "promised" to fix the bugs at a cost to the user.

So my gripe is with the fact that T3 promisies to fix bugs in 2.6, but I have to pay for this. Yes there are nice new features in T3 (ones I am willing to pay for), but what new bugs come with these features? And how much will I have to pay to have them "fixed"...

    Completely on topic...

I'm getting tired of giving my money to NI just so they can bill me for the next "bug fix".

Have a look at my post history, I'm not one of the whining kids who complains about everything. In fact I'm the one who is always trying to help users to get there system as stable as posible. Even traveling long distances to help out other users.

I have been a big promoter of Traktor, always putting in a good word. What do I get in return? I get to pay for bug fixes....

I hope the new effects features and other improvements are not tied to any one version of the T3 software mixer (for example the Allen&Heath).

And if the A&H is going to be the best and preferred mixer in T3, I hope there is a way to chain the A&H EQ Midrange knobs together. So that those of us with a shortage of knobs on our Midi controllers (such as FaderFox and X-Session) can still use those controllers effectively. It might be a long time before better controllers become available.

FWIW: I don't use iTunes, so it ain't a priority for me. I want it to do what it's advertised to do, and not crash. There ya go.

    Two answers....
    No and Yes!
No the effects are seperate to the EQ types. You can mix and match as you see fit! One EQ type for all decks, 4 different filters, 1 on each deck + 1 on the master.

Yes you can assign the same key or midi control to more than one control. You can do exactly what you asked.
