Huh? By default Load markers are set at the current Playhead position. Are you saying it is not or is n.n not set to the current time position?

The "Load Marker = n.n." refers to the cue point name, I believe.

For me, this is increasingly becoming a gripe, as well: All cue points seem to have the default name "n.n." - no matter whether it's a Beat/Grid, Load, Cue, or Fade In/Out marker. It would be really nice if the default name was tied to the *type* of cue point being set.

Exactly AudioRapture - in 2.6.2 they all had default names which at least told you what kind of marker it was. When you lay a beat marker down in t3 it is labelled 'beat marker' but when you lay a load marker down it is named 'n.n' presumably meaning 'no name'.

It just means I feel I have to manually rename it to 'Load' for every single track...which just gets tedious after a while. So maybe its more of a grizzle than gripe...dunno...

And about the "hot" cues it's beyond silly....

They aren't hot at all. It's one of the main reasons why I'm not usign Traktor at the monent. I just love being able to jump to different parts of the song.

Its a major gripe now - I need the rotary sensitivity selection to save in the layout. Now I have to change from default to fine every time I start traktor (for example). Takes up too much time.

Would also be very useful if the LFO frequency was saved with the layout. The default one is very quick. Otherwise a way of manually selecting frequency without having to tap. Big up NI.

Just something I've noticed before, but I'll mention now that I am imminently about to mix at Drum&Bass sessions with my mates on a new level with my BCD2000. The only issue I have at present (and excuse me if this has already been covered, or a soultion has already been found), is that when I cue up my decks either A or B they cue up great no problem - then when I EQ say Deck A on a fade/mix out I can hear in the cue headphone the EQ change the track - now most mixers as in the old analog technics-chained-with-a-mixer mixer when you EQ a track you still hear the original track in your headphones, not the adjusted one, unless you monitor the actual final output via the PFL control button/knob. This is definately been overlooked, as when I want to cue in a track I have to reset the EQ back to middle (usually) before I can pick out the section/beat/break I want or need - this would definately be a great improvement if the cue output is not affected by EQ (alike how the filters can be used, but do not affect the DJ, only the audience)

Something else as well which would be really good if possible....

MIDI OUT of Traktor to relay messages back to your choice of controller. In my case the BCD2000 can receive MIDI messages from a program/other device. Now if Traktor had the option of a MIDI OUT link, the buttons on Traktor could respond back to the BCD unit, so stuff like my effects button states could be indicated when i 'swap' the effect at the top and display the LEDs correctly on the unit. At the moment some LEDs mean absolutely nothing, but the triggers are there. Might reconfigure my template anyway to see what i can do for this, the problem is when I switch ON an effect, then swap the effect via the unit's buttons, the LED would stay ON yet the button on Traktor's next effect may well be OFF. This is where the BCD and Traktor falls a little (more towards the BCD since it cant be adjusted at the moment - will rip into Behringer for an editor asap, and tell them why its needed)

just my 2 peneth, and 4 quids worth

    Thanks

    El-Freshco ;)

PS: Phill, any news on my application to the B-Team? (I aint gettin on no plaaaayne LOL)

One thing I would LOVE to see would be the parameter infos above the FX knobs. I know if you use the mouse pointer you will then see the parameters. But when applying control information from an external midi controller (in my case the Evolution X-Session) the knob will turn but the parameter infos do not appear. Even if they make it show 'only' when changing the value would be fine for me. I hate having to guess whether I'm in 1/4 beat or 3/4 beat for example while using the delay unit....

p.s. my quick fix for this has been to leave the mouse pointer hovering over the button I'm using.

anyone else wanting this? I hope so.

Good news! I have had a reply from Andreas in Tech support. This was his reply:-

    1) Gaps when cueing ie Hot Cues

I could reproduce this issue and I have handled it to the development department to fix it as soon as possible, hopefully in on of the next updates.

    2) Load makers and quantized jumping

This makes sense to me. I will discuss your request with the product manager. He has to decide if and when this can be implemented.

    3) crashes

If your HD looses power while running, your OS, all your data and your HD can be serious damaged. I would highly recommend to avoid this situation

I dont think he understood 3) Thi is when xp subjects the HDD to power saving.

Please don't tell me you were the first one to tell support about this...???

With all the b!tch!ng about this here on the forums...

Let this be a lesson to you all: These forums do *not* replace the official support channel!

Hell no but it probably the first time support has tried or (more likely) been able to repro the problem. There are things coming soon to help remedy this and raise awareness of issues.

Yes I gave support several step by step examples of how to reproduce the problem so that there was no doubt :)

Regarding 3) it is a feature of xp that you can set in control panel - power saving options. I set my external and internal HDD's to power down after an hour of inactivity which overnight seemed to make the program crash. By disabling power saving for my HDD this problem went away and the program remained stable overnight. I have collection files on both HDD (Hip hop my external and dnb on internal)

Sadly hot cues are still broken in 3.1.1 as is .NMX mix recording. These are the 2 biggest bugs IMHO and hopefully they will get prioritised accordingly for future updates.

The Date fields need to be DateTime fields in the Traktor collection in my opinion e.g on Import Date.

This makes sorting more accurate as sometimes you want to see the order you did something during a particular day.

Not sure if this qualifies for here but:

The other night while I was playing, I noticed a couple of my beat grids had slid out of place & I had to quickly shunt them back into place.

I saw a thread about beat grids slipping but I can't find it now. Can anyone help with this?

Also, sometimes when I create a beat grid, I can see the in-point but the actual beat markers don't show until the in-point has "played" off the edge of the screen, at which point they suddenly appear.

    (I'm running Traktor 3.1.1.053 on a Mac G4 10.4.7)

This still happens for me too but I have never bothered to report it as a bug. It seems that even when the BPM is set to '100%' and only under some conditions (which I havent isolated yet) the % goes back to a cpu guestimate value (which is normally NOT rounded by default for some reason - maybe they think we are all still playing vinyl rips cos I've never seen a producer make their tunes xxx.345 BPM...)

Yeah, with me the beat grid was still there but it was roughly half a beat out. I quickly had to use the buttons in the details panel to shunt it back into place. But I didn't have time to think about why or what tracks it was happening on.
