Traktor DJ v1.6 update woes

yeah. waiting for the new ipad releasing, that's cool, i already wanted to upgrade... but not working until that? sorry, i paid for all of this, my controller, the app, everything. one single upgrade should not kill something what actually worked pretty well.
i know, it's not NI, it's Apple who's not allow me to downgrade the app until I got the latest Apple hardware, but if someone writes an app what require ios7 minimum, should not release for everyone, including ios6 users (and trust me, i'm only an ios6 user because lots and lots of people had issues with 7/8 and TraktorDJ, but I don't know what to use now. Afraid to upgrade the OS, can't go back, and it's weeks until the new iPad.)
Okay, it was my fault to upgrade something what worked well, and none of older upgrades were killed it.

By the way, Simon's right. Audio2 is a great soundcard and it's not working with iOs8. So... who should upgrade anything anymore if they want to use the next/latest generation dj hw/sw?
These things are not cheap and not some home made devices. It's not about the app, the quality of equipment, now it's trust issues.
I'm sorry for that.
It was so simple and easy to work with this. Now, it's a nightmare.

iOS 6.1.3 on iphone 4s, traktor crashing upon startup after updating to 1.6. Please fix this or mark this version as incompatible so that appstore asks me if i want to install the last compatible version.

 

NI don't usually re-develop and application to work with a legacy OS.
I cannot see Traktor DJ working with iOS6 again.

Ok updated my iPad 3 to iOS 8 after ni's epic fail on letting ios6 users install an incompatible program....1.6.
app opens so that's a start and seems ok with existing playlists and cues still in pace although initial experience with my s2mk2 was to CRASH!!!!
1. Why did tracktor ask to connect to my microphone when I plugged in my s2 and turned it on? never had this before on ios6. I said yes but there appeared to be downgrade in sound quality I'll say no tonight and report back.
2. The crash occurred I suspect because initially I couldn't remember what was missing from the third box at top of screen (next to time and bpm) and it brieflŷ crashed and then the battery % (which was the missing element) appeared.

Anyone else got ipad 3 withs2mk2 experiences on ios8? NI need to have some sort of table in place eg
iPad version / iOS #/ Tracktor app #/ s2/s4/audio 2/z1 etc. I'll start
3 / 8/ 1.6/ no/no/no/no

 

Duh! They just have to mark the app incompatible with ios 6, appstore will suggest installing the previous version automatically and we can work on iOS 6 again!

Still, as said, epic fail! If 1.6 compatbile with iOS 7 & up only then why was this information left out in the update infos???

I don't care about audiobus, etc., but I can get my working app back if they mark incompatible with iOs6.

 

They won't as it won't have stupid features that no one asked for instead of fixing bugs that have been around since v1.2.

I used to be on here back then praising NI and traktor dj, now look at me!

I also got screwed by this update, but luckily I still had a version of TraktorDJ 1.5.2 on my computer that was not updated to 1.6 by iTunes, so I just connected my ipod touch to the computer, dragged the TraktorDJ app over to my iPod, it synced and viola! The app was working again!

Just thought I'd post it here if someone else wants to try this....

Now to just ignore the badge on my App store, hehe

 

Unfortunately, my iTunes downloaded the update before I could try this method :/

 

It's really nice the NI crew changed the description of the app, says "recommend ios7 or later", but still didn't changed the official recommendations on the itunes store, so we can't download the v1.5.2. in ios6. It's just a few clicks, really.
(I just saw, S2 is not compatible with audiobus, a lot of people had issues with ios8 and S2, TraktorDj itself, that's no way for me to upgrade.)

I'm currently running 6.1 (10B141) and made The mistake of updating to 1.6.1.770

Originally I updated often but after iOS8 I knew something would break soon. Just didn't expect that a fix that was meant to fix the old OS crashing only partly works.

My issues is that audio doesn't not come out of both the internal speaker and the audio jack. Also, my wave form doesn't run but I'm able to press the play button and stays green'. I'm also able to navigate to the notifications, settings, and master BPM & audio toggle. I know Native Instruments doesn't work backwards but a working versions for us older OS users would be a big thanks.
