Traktor F1 won't stay in user mode?!

Hi I've been using my own mapping adapted from Endo's for the past year or so with no problems. Suddenly its completely given up the ghost and doesnt want to work at all. Now whenever I press shift/browse to go into user mode it will flash on for a few seconds then immediately go back to the yellow flashing square of the remix mapping. Occasionally all the squares will go blue but do nothing except allowing me to browse with the rotary knob and play (only whilst being held) with the usual top left play button.

I've removed and readded all TSIs. Reinstalled drivers for F1. I've reinstalled Traktor and tried older versions. Ive used backup settings from when it was working. None of these things have helped.

The only thing that I can think of that I did to cause this change was trying to use my friends NI audio 4 soundcard when I was trying to use his traktor scratch. Other than that I hadnt changed any settings or done any updates.

The controller itself is working iwhen I use my user mapping for ableton. So the issue seems to be with Traktor. Whats going on??

 

So assuming 1) your backup settings were good (even if they appeared good when the backup was made) and 2) when you tried removing/re-adding all TSIs you actually started with a fresh TSI file (rather then deleting then re-adding the mappings from within Traktor), have you ruled out being a hardware issue (which I feel would be unlikely) before spending more time looking at software? In other words, are you able to try the F1 + Endo's mapping (great mapping) on different hardware/someone else's Traktor setup?
