Okay, this one is a difficult one..

I was playing at a club on Saturday, and I took my Traktor S2-MK2 controller with me. I plugged the controller in to the wall, plugged my controller in to my laptop and finally plugged the RCA cables in the master input at the back of the controller and connected them to the RCA input on the back of the clubs mixer, (I used RCA to RCA cables)..

All was going well, when about 30 minutes in, halfway through playing a track, it made almost a slow motion noise and I was unable to do anything about it.. The only solution was to restart Traktor.. I did that, and it happened again!!

The sound that came from the controller was identical to the sound effect heard at 2:00 in this video: .. (The track was playing at 128BPM)

At home, this never happened.. Not once.. So I don't think it was an issue with my tracks.. Can anyone offer a suggestion or help on the issue? I would really appreciate it!!

Have the same problem! It is freaking bad, had this already 4 times during gigs. We need Serato or Windows... I had the same with S4 MK1, changed to S2 MK2, and this happens again. Native Instruments or Apple are making a bad job. Hate it.

So is this Traktor or hardware related? Have you tried a different controller and/or soundcard?
I appreciate that you invested in an S2 so might not have the means to test this.
Have you tried different sample rates to see if that makes a difference?

I haven't had chance to test it yet! I just used the default settings that came with the software.. I'll change a few settings and let you know if the problem goes, but I don't think that it was caused by my settings.. It never happened when I practiced at home, only at the club.. Someone suggested that it was due to there being too much power going in to the decks, but other people have set theirs up the same way with no problems.. So confusing mate..

I'm using macbook pro late 2013, right now traktor hangs during gig! Music plays, but the program does not respond. Great job, guys, really. This is crap. what you do! I just want my money back.

I use Traktor 2.9.0 and right now I am having issue with the "locked" deck, which is not playing. Same as others: link
Traktor is getting worse with every new version. I would really prefer to get my back now. I am very disappointed and I will never suggest anyone to use it.

This may have been a known issue go back and check the S4 threads. Also is your firmware updated? I would recommend you open a ticket and also maybe give 2.6.8 a try.

Many of use long time Traktor user found the releases after 2.6.8 to be full of problems which NI can't seem to resolve.

I'm wondering, if it only happens at the Club; it might be due to a power spike that may cause Traktor to react that way. I had many problems in the past with Traktor and other dj programs because of that. Try to remember if there was a fog machine, strobe light or anything plugged in near your computer that may have disrupted the power when it happened. You can re-create this by plugging in your computer with Traktor and your controller all plugged in and then plug in a paper shredder (if you have one handy or fog machine, it doesn't have to have juice in it) plug them ALL to the same outlet/power strip and turn the shredder on and off while running Traktor, keep switching it on and off repeatedly until you see Traktor react (fog machine-just press the trigger repeatedly). That may have been the problem, a lot of times everything work perfectly at home since there are not a lot of variables like fog machine etc...my recommendation to minimize this (since there is no 100% fix for this) from happening often is: not to plug in your computer to the same outlet or power strip as a fog machine or an outlet that is heavily being used wile your djing. Just my 2-cents
