    Hi all,

I ran into this issue when trying to import my collection from Traktor 2.6.8 into 2.9.0. I let it run 24 hours (it's a 34mb file) and it was still in the same position as when I left it. I'm running a new MacBook Pro so I don't think it's a hardware issue.

I had been using a collection from 2.5.0 but noticed it wasn't fully updated (my playlists were missing). I tried just importing the new collection by clicking on collection and importing a new one, but to no avail. I uninstalled Traktor following these steps:

    https://www.native-instruments.com/...stall-traktor-pro-2-from-a-mac-os-x-computer/

...and tried reimporting from my 2.6.8 collection file (.nml), but I'm still frozen. Here's what my window looks like:

Has anyone else run into this problem?
    Is my collection file corrupt?
Any leads or advice is much appreciated friends. Thank you

I have had this happen to me on 2.9. during my testing of it. I never used 2.9 live as i found it to high risk and provide little to no benefit over 2.6.8.

Hi, does anybody has a solution for the problem? Unfortunately I have the same problems. Tried to Import the collection from my windows PC to my new Mac. Both are the versions 2.9 of Traktor Pro. Traktor freezes at the import window on the mac...

i went back to 2.6.8. NI claims software releases are properly tested yet issues like this continue to happen.

ya i bet they only do basic tests , if traktor works after 5 min of testing , they call it stable . It's a stable joke .

Yep despite that fact the Freshfluke claims all releases are tested properly, testing really is bad and impacts NIs credibility which is why i am so cautious about any new release. Their release reputation in the last 2 years is at an all time low with no signs of improvement.

Importing collections is always a pain in the axx!
According to my personal experience the best thing to do when you change your laptop is a hard disk clone and ALWAYS keep your music in the same location (default).
I have already changed 4 MacBook Pro and never had a migration problem.
Migrations from different operating systems always give problems, also in other fields, I don't think it's fair to blame NI about this.

Probably because you have renamed it. It should be called: collection.nml
No other formatting should be used.

Sane problem here; importing collection.nml from PC to Mac and its taking FOREVER. Most advice I've seen says to simply wait, while the incoming Traktor converts the tags... but when to call it quits, give up and try again is my question.
