    Hi,

I recently sold my Traktor Scratch Duo (full sha bang) , it said on the traktor site you can install the software on up to 2 computers before you have to transfer ownership just as long as you uninstall the software.

I did the above uninstalled the software etc etc etc. and sold the traktor

I then got my self a Numark total control midi controller , so i downloaded the DEMO just so i could get to grips with thing.

Now it seems to have picked up the demo as the full version , would be great to think i havent got to rebuy the software again , but another part of me is thinking IS it only a matter of time b4 it switches its self to demo mode (imagine that in the middle of a gig) and could this effect the pearson who ive sold it to (ive recived good feedback so i assume it works).

Any help on the matter would be great. I have no objection to buying just the software on its own , BUT if i dont have to then obvious im gonna stick with what i got.

Help me would be much appreciated

You can install Traktor on two of your OWN computers. You need to transfer ownership if you sell it.

The end user license agreement (EULA) of Native Instruments' products allows the simultaneous installation on two computers (three computers for all versions of KORE and KOMPLETE), as long as only one installation is used at any given time. It is not necessary to "deactivate" an existing installation to activate the product on a further machine, but due to the license agreement it is required to uninstall the product from the previously used computer.

So does the above still mean i have to transfer ownership ,, This is so long lol

Yes you have to transfer Ownership. There is no provision in the EULA for selling the software but keeping it activated on your system, in fact this will not work and is illegal.

Uninstalling Traktor does not Unregister it. It is still registered to you and therefore the person you sold it to will not be able to activate it.

You should contact the buyer and tell him this and submit a Transfer Of Ownership Form and Fax it to N.I. This is legal requirement when you sell your software

    Heres the form:

    Transfer of Ownership:

    Confirmation

I .............................. (please enter name and address) herewith confirm that I have sold and transfered my NI-product(s) .............................. (please enter product name) with the serial number .............................. (please enter serial number) to .............................. (please enter name and address).

I surrender all rights of use of the NI-product(s) to the buyer. Please delete my product registration so the new buyer can re-register it.

I affirm that I handed the original software over to the buyer and destroyed or deleted all copies of the Licence software as well as all pertinent documentations completely.
