    hi for everyone!

I have some problems with traktor, since i am working on windows 7 home premium.

i had some problems with the installing the soundcard driver, but it works now in windows, winamp and any other softwares. but it doesnt work with traktor pro 1.2.5.

If i want to set the audio device, there are only 2 outs, and there is "WASAPI (shared mode)" is standing behind the soundcard name. Soundcard type: C-Media CMI8738

And i cant change the latency (10ms)

if I click on play, the sound is really bad, there is only crix-crax comming..

    PC: amd x4 2,8G, 4 GB DDR3

I know there are quite a lot similar problems in the forum, but i couldnt solve it...

So if anyone did solve the same problem, pls let me know, how you did it..

    thx, plstkmn

    1. Update Traktor
    2. DOwnload Asio4All and use that as the soundcard in Traktor
    3. Save up some money and get a decent interface ;)

10ms is way too low for a wasapi driven soundcard, no wonder there's only junk coming out of your speakers.

I forget to mention that i already installed Asio4ALL, but it still now working..

If i select that device, it comes absolutely zero sound, but the deck is running..

I will try to update traktor. 1.2.6 is OK?

Yes I know, the interface is not the best one, but it was working under XP.. :(

I tried so many things, that means there is no other possibility to solve it?

i dont have any extern soundcard. only C-Media CMI 8738

    this is 5.1

and i was using in XP the rear out line as monitor, and the front line as master.

but now: traktor writes as soundcardtype for C-Media that there is only 1 lineout. But in windows 7 i can test every speaker (front, rear) and it works..

after you select Asio4ALL as driver, you have to set Master output and Monitor output through Traktor options.

Did you select Asio 4 all as the soundcard in traktor?

so i am back from job, i turned on my PC, and i could set the output for my soundcard. I dont know wtf was going on yesterday, but maybe it was not enough to restart the PC, maybe its necessary to turn off, and turn it on.

Now i am using my intern soundcard trough the Asio 4 all driver, and its works fine. I have set it to 40.5 ms and the sound is OK!

thx for you ideas! it was really helpful!

    thanks again guys!

ps: if someone have the same problem, with the same soundcard, just pm me, and i will send some screenshots!
