Traktor Kontrol S8 Flight Case?

Hi all.

The new Traktor Kontrol S8 looks awesome!
Will there be a suitable Flight Case for the S8 like the one for the S4?

Check out the UDG Urbanite MIDI Controller Flight Bag Large. Supposed to fit - I've ordered it and am waiting for it to arrive, but the measurements seem to work (~140 USD)

 

Let us know if the UDG case works - post some pics as well please.
I'm hoping that Magma make a CTRL case for the S8 cus I have their cases for the S4 and S2 and I really like them.

Their current XXL case is too small.

Agreed on the XXL; I have that too. The big issue is finding the right proportion to hold the 15.2" depth without being something like 29" wide (the S8 is only 23" wide).

 

The S8 does fit into the Gator G-Club Control 25 but it is not perfect fit, you have a couple of inches space on the side and it sticks out half an inch, but the flap is adjustable so it fully protected, I reckon that space would be perfect for a bottle of vodka to help those tedious gigs you get once in a while

Just in case anybody does a google search, this case fitted near on perfectly for my Pioneer DDJ-SX, so should be just right for the SX2 as well.

For the gigs where I need to be more portable I will probably continue to use this bag, unless something great comes out.

Forgot to add that if you are in the UK flightcase warehouse would be able to build you a good flight case with a few different finish options. I am guessing one with a sliding laptop shelf would be a smidge under £200..... That will be the route I take unless Total Impact release one in the next month or so......

I recently got the UDG XXL CTRL Case, I feel it works for now, though personally I would have preferred a bag with back pack straps or at least a shoulder strap. There's extra space, but I use to put the power cord and USB cable in there and I use spare foam inserts to take up the slack.

 

Are you talking about the Magma XXL Ctrl case ? The dimensions of that case are not big enough are they? Or is it the DIGI XXL case?
Can you clarify?

And the S8 fits well? Not too loose? or too tight?
I'm happy to wait for Magma to bring one out as I have 2 of theirs for the S4 and S2 but that UDG looks great and I like UDG quality.

Whats not shown is the one of foam pieces that came in the S8 box across the top to take up space above the unit. I'm planning on getting a deck-saver to resolve the space issue, plus as a way to protect the faders and knobs.

Ah ok well I think I'll wait in hope for a Magma or tailor made solution.

 

The Odyssey just looks like a larger case they have added padding to and called it a Side Accessory Compartment Space. The also seems to be no space at the back, so if you were outputting via ZLR it may push the controller up a little. For the price they charge I'd personally go down the custom built route.
