Trust me it does way more than anything in the same price range and lots lot more that most others.

    200euros is an absolute steal.

And the Layout shows like Traktor 1.1.1...only 2 FX Unit Buttons

So Karlos have a look to DX2.....u will get for less more Money a view of Buttons more ;-)
I dont need backlight in darkness, so its nice to have lighting buttons, but i dont want to wear my Sunglasses at the Club ;-)

Its not a Mixer . Its simply a Midi controller. It is designed to work alongside a conventional DJ mixer.
It could also be used with another controller that has a mixer section like a VCI 100.
It was designed for specific software control.

    No faders.
    No jog wheels.
    No Mixer.
    Just a controller.

I'm liking this a lot. The unit appears compact enough to add to existing setups w/o taking too much booth/desk space as well as a design for access to essential tasks giving those of us with a cramped .tsi more breathing room. I use a 4D and the lack of visual feedback on the state of my FX makes me work much more tentatively than I like.

Definitely an adjunct to an external mixer. And perfect for timecode so I can fire of loops and trigger effects and load tracks.

    I agree with IT

That will make a new great place to Traktor Scratch Pro with turntables or CD's player + a nice mixer ;)
TKX1 doesn't substitute or remove MIDI Controler like VCI-100 but will give an all in one plugg & play solution for turntablists or DJ's who want not to buy expensive CD's player like XXX, you know :D !

I'm sure that I bought one + TS Pro DUO + 2 CD's Players (and enjoy the way I'm playing with my Numark turntables)

But, otherwise I waiting for the time that NI give us a real good tsi file for TP and VCI-100.This day will be a GREAT day for me

Thxs NI, I believe in Santa Claus, but I prefer to see what you do, cause you do it well :)

Ok, first of let me say that I absolutly love this controller, the videos on the N.I. Page explain and show the functions etc. really well, and I can't wait to get my hands on one of these to use alongside my TimecodeSetup...but 3 things do piss me off:

1.)Why did N.I. not include buttons and knobs for the fourth effect slot? Were they really done developing as well as massproducing this unit before the 1.2. Update? Cause if they weren't (which i assume, at least the mass production part!) including one more button/knob-row couldn't have been such a big deal!

2.)Buttons and knobs for the standard-filters as well as the keylock/keychange are missing! That def sucks!

3.) The price 199€ is a bit much in my opinion 149 would have been more like it, but oh well I'd pay the 199 €...what I def think is messed up though is N.I. asking for 39 € for just the case!
Come on N.I. that is seriously a rip off...it's just a case...a cloth case, no metall or expensive applications...An eastpak or jansport bagpack is cheaper...the magma headphone bag as well as the magma headshell case are both cheaper!
I think for 199 € the case should def have been included for free!

But as I said other then that, a great controller which I can't wait to use.... ; )

I like it looks nice and looks like it does the job. Bit dissapointed that a Crossfader was not included and i hear the arguments it is meant to work alongside a mixer, but come on we are Dj's and there are times when you play in a club and you only have one input feed meaning you have to use internal mixer mode. I really think NI need to think what Regular Dj's want instead of Big Mainstream Dj's, Why do we have to resort to 3rd party Controllers for what we need.

Dont get me wrong Using that alongside A mixer where i can use it i would buy it but then i have to think about spending out again for a controller that can help out in a limited situation.

I'm so bored by half-baked solutions. I don't think the x1 is bad - it has great ideas, but I want a quality midi controller for 4 decks with only a few compromises... touchpad/mouse less control, usable like hardware. I can't see how to achieve this with a this or any other controller on the market at the moment.

I think the new xone itch one is my benchmark... even it's not perfect for traktor.

    yep! I do agree 100%
