Traktor LE extreme lagging problem!

hi guys, I recently updated traktor LE to the latest version and then upgraded to traktor, I used a newish laptop that used to run traktor perfectly as it has all the required things to run it. I use the ddj ergo k and when I go to use it everything work perfectly (the mapping and asio files are all detected) BUT for some reason when I load up a song and move the faders and stuff everything is really laggy and moves a tiny bit about every three seconds!! this has happened ever since I reset my laptop to its factory/out of the box state and ever since i updated traktor and the ddj ergo k firmware. Please help this is really annoying the hell out of me.
