Traktor LE with windows 7 laptop - variety of problems :(

Im hoping someone here can help me.

I installed Traktor LE (bundled with Vestax VCI 100) onto my brand new laptop (Asus X5DIJ Laptop, Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 2.2GHz. 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit) and all seemed OK.

When I imported my music folder into the collection, after scanning something like 1800 artists it then brought up a crash window and generated a log, and i had to close it.

On reopening, i apparently only had 22 artists in the collection now. I tried this twice more and same thing both times. By using the program with the explorer i found i could work the VCI tho.

Anyway I decided to reinstall traktor so that the collection function might actually work - and now EVERY TIME i start the program, it crashes immediately.

I contacted NI and they said LE was not supported and to deal with vestax via specific supplier, whose number I tried and they no longer deal.

And realistically are anyone other than NI going to be able to read the crashlog and see where the problem lies?

If anyone can help me out a bit I'd be mega appreciative, currently I have a grands worth of equipment that is effectively expensive ornaments on my desk

I have a dell Studio 1555 with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700@ 2.53 GHZ running Windows 7 64 bit and 4 Gigs of ram. I have the same Issue as Gazz. I use the Total Control controller and the DJIO. Some body please help us out. Attached is my crashlogs.
By the way can some one tell me how to read them... Thanks Guys

 

Update - having removed every NON MP3 audio file from the directories on my HDD, it works fine and I have successfully gigged the equipment.

First I reinstalled Traktor but this did not solve the issue.

Then I had seen somewhere that the software had problems if it encountered .AAC and .MP4 files so I took all these out.

Now (touchwood!) it works OK so hopefully that was the issue. Anyone got any thoughts on that?
