    Hi,
The other day we managed to sync two laptops, one with traktor as master midi clock and the other with ableton live as slave.

Live was getting the clock ok (i could see it change the bpm when we changed that in traktor) but apparently the beats were not getting in the right moment, I mean, I started a loop in live, and it never started right on time (on the downbeat) which is something quite simple to do in live (I've done that several times with my laptop synced to another one running reason).

Have you had any experiences doing that? I'd love to know if you could point to some specifics to solve the problem...

Does anyone have any experience syncing these programs on a single laptop with a Firewire 410 interface? I am having trouble getting this to happen, but it would be very useful if I could get it to work.

Although I can't give you any personal insight into this, I do know that there have been several discussions on this forum about exactly what you're trying to do, so if you haven't searched around, you may want to start there. Otherwise, you may want to look a bit more in depth, because I know there is some stuff on the boards somewhere...
