Hi there, at the moment I do not have a copy of Traktor, but I have played about on my friends laptop with it. I am unsure as to wether or not you can you use it like decks & a mixer, mainly because of a laptop only having one audio output. Is there anyway to attach headphones to the laptop so that you can cue the second track through the headphones without affecting the broadcast to the main system? (like a standard mixer setup). I was also wondering if it is easy to assign faders and knobs from midi controllers (such as the hercules DJ control system) to the crossfader and other parameters within Traktor, in order to achieve the effect of a physical mixer with faders and knobs. If anyone could clear up these issues it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Miles

    1) You need an extra soundcard with at least 2 channels.
    2) Yes, easy.
    3) You need to have a look for the "search" button in the forum. These questions have been asked at least 2432 times...

For the avoidance of doubt he means a soundcard with 2 stereo pairs therefore at least a four channel soundcard.

thanks for your help - i think i'm gonna go for the m audio USB Audiophile. And i also like the look of that faderfox. Can you customize the assignment of all that faders/knobs with that? Then I could use it with Reason as well as Traktor
