TRAKTOR Traktor Pro 2.11.1.5 - Public Beta

Dear Traktor Users,
Thank you for your valuable input over the past weeks. Overall we observed more then 4000 hours of active testing time and are happy to say that Traktor 2.11.1 turns out to be more stable than we expected.

Here is what we fixed in version 2.11.1.12:

• Fixed: Traktor crashes when activating Broadcasting (BUG-0352)
• Fixed: Shortcuts are removed from desktop and start menu (BUG-0334)
• Fixed: Remove Legacy Drivers from Installer
• Fixed: Crash reporting system reports crashes of previous versions
• Updated: EULAs in Installer

What we still have on our list for the next version is:

• Complete the testing on final version of macOS High Sierra
• Installer needs to show a warning on non supported OS versions
• Color editing not available in iTunes node

When filing bugs to CenterCode please use the following as a guideline for a good bug description.

• Problem Description: Describe the bug as detailed as necessary and as short as possible
• Reproduction Steps: List the exact steps to produce the bug
• Expected Results: Describe what you expected to happen.
• Observed Results: Describe what actually occurred.

Dear Traktor Users,

We are happy to announce the maintenance update Traktor Pro 2.11.1 planned to be released later this summer.

The main goal for this version has been to upgrade the code to the newest software libraries, compilers and installers used at Native Instruments. This comes with some risk and therefore needs thorough testing. We have so far successfully stabilised the version internally and are now switching to test this in the public beta test group for a wider coverage.

Here is what has been improved since version 2.11.0

• Fixed: the Browser Tree row height is no longer affected by changes of the Playlist row height
• Fixed: "Save Remix Set" no longer ignores captured samples
• Fixed: the "Collection Invalid" message on startup does not occur anymore
• Improved: the updated libraries and build environment improves stability and maintainability of the software in general

There also is a new goodie-feature that we want to test with you:

Color Coding in Playlists

• Via right-click on the Playlist header you can enable a new column called "Color".

• Attention: the new column shows up on the far right end of your existing columns.
• When right clicking into the fields of this list, you can assign the track one of six colors
• The colors are shown as square in the column and as shade across the entire width of the playlist
• The colors that you assigned are stored within the .nml and within the files and can thus be transferred to another computer just as any tag
• We intend to release this feature as a test and evaluate if it is mature enough to release it for good.

Wow, da haben sie sich ja richtig was einfallen lassen. Ich bin schwer beeindruckt.

Farbzuweisungen. Das ist so... innovativ.
Ich kann mich vor Freude kaum halten.

 

Ich hatte auf Retina Support gehofft.... ich hoffe weiter xD

Vielleicht sollte ich das in meine Sig nehmen "hoffe since 2015 auf ein update"

Update: Color funktioniert NUR bei den Traktor Playlisten! Nicht bei den iTunes Listen... schade dann ist das "feature" uninteressant für mich. Ich öffne trotzdem mal nen Ticket....

 

Sry, aber für soviel nichts ne public beta

Im ersten Moment dachte ich: jetzt gehts los, Traktor3, intelligente Playlists, flex grid, new, woaahhh.....dann die seit Jahren anhaltende Ernüchterung.

Sieht so aus als ob das DEV-Team für Traktor mittlerweile auf eine Halbtags-Kraft geschrumpft ist.

 

Wie immer ein Witz ... volarem wenn mann sich die Konkurrenz anschaut und was da gerade alles passiert...

 

Ihr habt aber schon den Text gelesen und verstanden ??
Native hat den kompletten Code geändert und ist nun up to date. Davon hat Fluki schon beeichtet und ist ein riesen Ding für Native. Jetzt ist man in der Lage Traktor deutlich besser mit anderen Anwendungen zu verknüpfen und koplexere Datenbanken zu verwalten.
Also bitte testen und dann in die Zukunft sehen...

 

Nee, nur du hast den Text verstanden. Wir sind alle nicht in der Lage dazu.

Fühl dich bitte nicht persönlich angegriffen, aber was wir in den letzten Monaten hier bekommen haben ist ein Witz. Und ich denke, das weißt du auch.

 

@Sigo: Ganz so viel wie Du lese ich aus der Beschreibung nicht heraus. Es steht dort nur daß der Code gewartet wurde (= code review) um mit den aktuellen Installern, C-Compilern und (gemeinsamen) Bibliotheken verwendet werden zu können. Es steht nichts davon daß der Code ganz oder teilweise neu geschrieben wurde oder dessen Dokumentation verbessert wurde (diese beiden Dinge wären wichtig).

 

Fragt sich nur wessen Up to Date, weil:

Deswegen geb ich da erstmal nicht viel drauf.
Möglich das dieser "große Sprung" gemacht wurde für Traktor 3, dann ist auch die Public Beta gerechtfertigt.
Es kann aber auch sein daß es jetzt einfach leichter ist die schmale Spur weiter zu fahren, das denke ich persönlich.
Dafür ist dieses Color Coding zu einfach. Das wäre sicherlich auch mit dem alten Code gegangen.

Sorry... aber was im Hintergrund mit dem Code passiert ist mir als Anwender vollkommen egal solange ich davon nichts merke.
Das es positiv für die Zukunft ist ist mir auch egal solange ich der Gegenwart nichts davon merke.
Die Traktor gemeinte wartet sehenswürdig auf eine Neuerung ein wirkliches Update...
Ich finde das ist kein wirkliches Update...
Die Ernüchterung ist inzwischen zurückgekehrt es tut sich nichts bei Native.

 

PS:
Die Beta Version hat unter Windows 7 ständig Audio Aussetzer. Klingen wie Digitalisierungs Fehler.
Aktuelle Version 2.11.0 läuft einwandfrei.
Ich nutze Traktor auf Windows 7 nur zum vorbereiten/vorhören der Tracks.
Ich weis es ist eine Beta aber ich befürchte wieder schlimmes in Zukunft.
Naja immerhin 2.6.1 , 2.6.8 und 2.11.0 laufen.

Hey, Retina gibt es (auf dem Mac) erst seit Juni 2012...

 

Native bekommt es seit 5 Jahre nicht auf die Reihe Retina zu unterstützen! Jede popelige App kann das....
Traktor + Retina = Augenkrebs und gehört eigentlich verboten!

 

Ja ist schade... hoffe da kommt noch was. Schau dir mal Recordbox 5 an. Ist zwar Beta aber tut das was es soll.
Nutze ich aktuell als 2. Lösung.

This beta test run is close to its end, so I guess you´ll have to wait for the official release. Shouldn´t be long anymore though...
