    My Traktor PRO 2.6 crashes everytime I try to load my Itunes music into Traktor.
    This is since I upgraded from Traktor PRO 2.1. to 2.6 :confused:
    What's the reason? And is there a solution for this problem?
    HP Pavilion dv7, Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 - 32 bit, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T6500
    4GB RAM, 2 x 500 GB HDD

    What I allready tried; defrag, MP3 Val Fronted, Enable Multi Core Processor ON / OFF

    CC from E-mail to NI-support:

    Today after upgrading from Traktor v. 2.0.1. to Traktor v. 2.6.0.
    I can use Traktor 2.6.0. fine as long as i don't load iTunes into Traktor 2.6.0.

    In Traktor 2.0.1. there is no problem when loading Itunes into Traktor 2.0.1.

    I 'm not doing anything else.
    Just patiently waiting for iTunes to load into Traktor 2.6.0, after a few minutes the crash happens and it happens everytime I try to load iTunes into Traktor 2.6.0.

    Message: Traktor has encountered a major problem and has been terminated please provide this crashlog to the NI ...
    There's nothing in this crashlog, it's size is 0 kB (15_01_2013 10_42_51 - Traktor 2.6.0-mini)

    Steps already taken;

    - defragmentation
    - ccleaner
    - anti-virusscan
    - anti malware scan
    - MP3 Val Fronted
    - Enable Multi Core Processor ON / OFF

    So the only solution is downgrading? :(

    Perhaps your ITunes library file is messed up..
    I would try and troubleshoot with a clean Itunes library.

    +1 This can often happen with a corrupt xml file in iTunes.

    SOLUTION:

    Clean the music collection;
    Delete all files in the collection;

    - with a samplefrequency less then 44.100 Khz

    - with a bitrate less then 128 Kb/s

    - with a size less then 50 Kb

    all files in itunes with time = unknown

    delete all *.bak
    delete all *.wma

    Upgrade to Traktor Pro 2.6
    Check Consistency, delete all missing tracks from collection
    Should be fine now!

    OR go back to iTunes 10.7; 11 is inferior for DJ database management

    Playing for two nights with Traktor 2.6 it simply isn't stable on my laptop.
    Downgrading to Traktor Pro 2.0.1 again!
