Traktor Pro 2.6

Currently running 2.1.3 and thinking about going to 2.6.0. I use a MacBook Pro 15" (OS is Snow Leopard) and an S4. Never had any issues with Traktor updates on my computer. Got the S4 driver update from NI (S4_251) as well. Wanted to see if anyone had any issues before I update.

Also, thinking of upgrading my OS to mountain Lion. Anyone have any issues with mountain lion and Traktor 2.1.3 or 2.6.0?

Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

 

No problems here, running latest ML release and Traktor 2.6

 

Thanks! I installed 2.6 and played around with it a bit. Didn't notice any issues except:

1. CPU usage seems a bit higher than 2.3.1 but thats probably because I'm playing all 4 decks while my tracks are re-analyzing.

2. Slight pop / glitch when selecting a new macro effect while the track is playing. This happened to me on one of the previous updates, forgot which one, that came out with new efx. Once I closed Traktor after re-analyzng my tracks and then restarted it, everything was fine. Hopefully that is the case again.

Lets see what tomorrow brings!

 

Just updated Lion to ML and have had zero issues. Rocking the house just as well as always.

 

Just curious, whats your traktor CPU usage when your running 4 decks at once? Mine was about 50 - 60% but that was when I was re-analyzing my collection. Going to try it tonight and see if its lower. With 2.3.1 my CPU was between 25 & 30%.

 

Analyzing uses up quite a bit of CPU so it looks like you don't have a huge jump in %usage.

Most people will be using different CPUs so it's not a fair comparison but I'll check how my Air performs with 4 decks soon.

update...

Everything seems to be working fine! Trakor CPU usage is generally less than 20% when playing two decks and using efx. Was around 50 % when i used all 4 decks, the sampler and a macro efx on each of the 4 decks which is very good.

I did notice a very minor glitch / pop (very small) when changing efx on the track that is on air however; it does not happen all of the time. Anyone else ever have this issue. Not a big deal, just curious.

Also, is there any way to have the auotgain automatically set on each deck? Seems like you have to click the gain button orange each time you start traktor. I have both enable limiter and automatically set autogain checked in the preferences. I was hoping there is a way to save my setting so it's already enabled upon start up.

 

I'm getting about 40% with 4 decks, and 1x Macro FX+ 3x Regular FX applied to all 4 decks.

If you're switching an active FX on a track I would expect some sort of minor glitch. Does it happen when you change between FX that are not currently active on a deck?

Also, the blue Gain dials are now Channel Gain rather than Track Gain. The toggle button just switches which you're looking at and you don't need to press it for Autogain to work.
