Traktor Pro 2 crashes for some strange reasons [Hercules MK4]

    Hello Guys,

    First, Ive got a hercules dj console mk4 and traktor pro 2.
    Everything works fine, but sometimes traktor crashes and i need to plug out and in the controller and restart traktor to fix the crash. In my room this happens when I use my curtains (they are electric), but at a party a few days ago it just crashed randomly after 10-20 minutes. Eveb more strange: When i plug out my Laptop so its running on battery this doesnt happen anymore.

    Anyone has got an idea how to prevent this?

    Use surge protection. You should be able to pick something up at your local hardware store.

    you may need more that surge protection... but as CZ states its the righ first step... not least because its the cheapest place to start.

    Surge protection is a hard limit at a high fixed voltage and is good for certain types of (generally dramatic) interference.. You may need to invest in a power conditioner.. these provide filtering of the power supply to reduce noise and interference on a broader scale than surge protection.. but at a higher price..

    If you are performing at paying gigs then it will be money well spent for the peace of mind.
