traktor Pro 2 Keeps Skipping. Please Help

I am new to traktor and things aren,t going well so far. I have a new sony computer with traktor 2 installed and i am using the x1 mk 2 controller with audio 8 into an old Denon 600 desk. When working at home ( using the computer soundcard ) everything is great and runs like a dream but the minute I start using it in the club with the above set up the music keeps stalling in a major way. You can even see the stall on the wave screen. It does work fine sometimes like 1 out of every 3 which is the most confusing thing about it all.I have the anti virus off and the wifi. Any help at all would be great thanks. I,m a bit lost here.

Is the laptop plugged in when at the club? Power management can scale back available resources significantly, so always plug in! Also go through the optimize guide.

The only time i have seen "Skipping" to where the wave form even stalls is when my processor was overloaded due to other apps running in the background.

Seems like something else is taking up the CPU resources or the ram. Good Luck. Work it out.

The computer is a Sony Vaio i5 , 6GB 64 bit running off windows 8. It also has its own Radeon graphics card. I am using Tracker pro 2 and think it is 2.6.1 but not sure, can,t find anywhere to check ? Computer always plugged in. You can nearly always see what looks like a stall on the wave graphics even when the music sounds fine and when moving in new tracks it sometimes freezes altogether on screen on both decks ???

 

Since 2.6.3, on 2.6.4 now I've had skipping issues, ground hum, missing channel.
Saturday while in the club (on 1200's) Turntable 1 started skipping, I upped the latency twice and that did nothing, cleaned contacts, cleaned the records, re-calibrated and still it was skipping , the only thing to stop it was to get on the mic make some announcements while I restart traktor.
After that everything was fine.
Not a good look at all even though I was able to pull it off without anyone knowing.

 

since I updated to traktor v 2.6.4 I get the same ground hum error messages sometimes channel missing etc. But everything is connected well. However this Saturday my traktor skipped the tracks all the time (also in internal play), just a day before it wasnt skipping at all. I reinstalled audio 8 DJ drivers and updated traktor to 2.6.6. but I had the same problem. Luckily I had some extra vinyls and audio CDs with me.

But here is the strange part, the next morning I was eager to test it at my home and it was working just fine, even with all the background programs and without power supply. Also today, I have no problem except of the ground hum warning messages.

So my guess is the it has to be something with the Audio 8 DJ or the software, however the ground hum warning messages I get also with my friend's traktor audio 6.

p.s.- the at the club we also tried to re-plug the power supply, because we thought the skipping might come from power spikes, but that was not it. Hope anyone here gets what's going on, because for now it seem like the software if failing on us again.
