    Hey guys,

I have a quick question as I am confused by this, is the Version of Traktor that comes with the DDJ-T1 as big as the full Pro 2 pack, or is the DDJ-T1 version LE with a couple of extra bits so you can use the controller fuller.

Just trying to decide whether to buy the T1 and also Traktor Pro 2.

    Cheers

    Yes. Pioneer Edition is enough.
Actually since I use traktor around 2 yrs.
today I think just LE version is enough.

i believe to my knowledge is that the tt1 version of traktor is a full copy of it just suited to the layout of the ddj.

LE is always limited as far as i have seen. get the FULL version, whether it is Duo or Pro.
I know the LE that came with my Mixdeck had limited effects and doesnt record mixes.

Pioneer edition only has six effects. No sample decks when you up upgrade to pioneer edition 2. You can record your mixes in the pioneer version. I suppose its like traktor duo but with 4 decks.

Yeh I know it's not the full version. I was was trying to establish the different in Pro 2 and the T1 version.

I think I'm going to start with the S2 controller to begin with anyway

Well Ideally I want the T1, but can't afford it. So I'm looking at at the S2 as it's £250 cheaper. From what I can see the only differences are that it has 2 channels and no filter control. Any other real controlling feature differences in the S2 and S4?

i think NI dropped a clanger by not having filter controls on the S2.

The answer is probably the S4, but if your budget is wicked tight then you may be better off with an x1 (which has TP2 as free upgrade) and any old mixdeck controller thingy.. for $200ish

Won't work out any cheaper though

    £170 - X1
    £250 - Mixer
    £100 - Soundcard

Might as well get the S2 for £499

    I have DDJ T-1 and TP2.

The thing that makes an absolutely massive difference to me between the manufacturer edition and TP2 is the mixer emulations on TP2. I have always used Ecler mixers and I really like their EQ's and TP2's emulation is a pretty good one I think.

I found the EQs on the manufacture edition's standard NI mixer to be almost unusable.

I'd say go with the S4 overall if you're really on a budget but you can get the DDJ T1 + TP2 update at DV247.com now for £800. I would reccomend that if you can.

lol..if u want to get picky over prices.. here in the USA its

    x1 = $199
    mixtrack pro = $249

thats $450.. so thats still $150 less than S2
