TRAKTOR PRO 3.5.2 Officially released on Native Access

Hey, PLEASE Denon SC6000 support! I could very well play with these without a laptop but this integration would be match made in heaven. Been using Traktor from very first releases and would like to continue to use one! My main concern is lack of good hardware (with backup to play from ssd or usb etc) and Denon provides that! If something happens to laptop on a gig You have to have backup if You are doing serious job as a dj. Denon provides AWESOME options and is way ahead Pioneer today. SC6000/LC6000 are great players and could be awesome controllers for Traktor. They are supported by Serato and Virtual Dj and DjayPro. So Please Traktor, i choose YOU, but please make it happen! All the best to devs team and please add this to success of Traktor!

 

Traktor Pro 3.5 is now available via Native Access.

If you were a beta tester, it's now the occasion to have a definitive version of Traktor. Beta versions will expire at the end of the countdown.

If you already have download the "release candidate" version, you won't have to do anything and you won't see any upload available in Native Access for Traktor as it is the exact same version.

There are still some open bug reports regarding crashes and issues loading Beatport tracks, can we a expect a bugfix version in the future (i.e. 3.5.1) or should we wait for 3.6?

 

DJ-Andre : We're already planning a 3.5.1 to solve all the issues which might have slipped there and there in the first 3.5 version.
No worry, you won't have to wait till 3.6

 

What's meant with the waveforms on the XDJ 700? NI mentions lots of improvement, but there's no waveform to be found.

4. 64 bar and 128 bar loop integration
5. Mp4 video recording of my mix like in Virtual DJ.
6. Quantize Value - 1/8th beat, 1/4 beat, 1/2 beat, 1 beat, 2 beats, 4 beats - Traktor DJ 2 has it
7. Flexible beat grids - My 2 cents - No other DJ program has done this correctly yet. Rekordbox seems to be the best so far but not perfect even on simple shift. Not until Traktor Pro 4.

Regarding that no other program implemented elastic beatgrids correctly - they all are ahead of traktor for years.

Just like smartplay lists, the biggest value is delivering any first cut

For example, traktor lacks recursive playlists that itunes has, but this is a reasonable first cut to have no smart lists at all

These three I feel are essential and should not be that hard to implement we have had this in the future requests section for a very long time and gained a lot of traction and probably the most likes so it should have been top of the feature lists.
Sadly to this day we still wait.

 

Not quite true/fair to include 'Flexible beat grids' and claim it's easy to implement.
This is going to be hard.

What is easy, and a foundation for all, and my personal priority:
0. Proper / per-file-spec metadata i/o (read/write) plus, and again - this is the not so easy part - a browser/library rewrite to handle multi-vale metadata (multiple genres, artists) as well as custom metadata...

Smart sync would be the biggest improvement for me.

Most of my wishes are hardware related. NI should start collaborating with Pioneer, Rane, Denon.

Despite all efforts of NIs software developers making Traktor the best DJ software in the world, it don't mean much without hardware support.

 

with traktor controllers in the budget and middle segments, everything is fine, I consider their controllers up to 1000$ to be the best on the market.
They don't have pro stage equipment.

Also, the browser in pro 3 is much worse than the browsers in other programs. The tr can do two things:
- make standalone traktor cdj / xdj players.
- make a better browser, because I left the tr precisely because of the constant problems with the library (this is practically useless for storing and conveniently using music collection).

They can also produce mixers / effectors.

I still don't understand why they integrate cdj2000/3000 hid into the pro 3, it's useless (or good for 5% djs use traktor pro 3) . Why buy a set of equipment for 5000-7000$ and then connect it to a computer.

That's why I say, they care more about pioneer players than about their own products.

 

More likely it's because they are stuck working within the constraints of the current software coding - which as I understand, is very old, and is why I prefaced my #8 request with "as long as we are dreaming" - and unfortunately is why most of the requests in this thread are probably not feasible at this time.

If and when there is a Traktor Pro 4, let's hope they respond to Customer Requests in a more timely fashion.

 

Definitely not the case. If so, the entire ddj line would have had native support, starting with ddj-sb2, the most sold controller ever

Cdj-3000 support is a basic necessity to support the club standard

 

I agree with Almaz that the browser should be top priority. Library management is extremely important. For me, and I guess for most of the djs priority list (highest on top) is something like:

1. Sound quality, including Key Lock (MT) quality
2. Stable (bugs free) software
3. Library management (related tracks, tagging, and other stuff that still missing in TP)
4. x2 /2 sync (manual or smart sync)
5. Quantize setting: 1, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8
6. Elastic Beatgrids
7. A new Traktor Kontrol s4 MK4 (would be nice to upgrade MK3, although it's quite decent for me, because I use Joe Easton's screen hack). Joe's screens are how s3 mk3 should have looked like since the beginning.

I don't think it's that much, a decent software company can handle all of these in less than an year. I guess NI just doesn't have enough software developers to handle that.

P.S. Anything else is nice to have but points 1 to 6 are essential.

I've been doing my best to read through everyone's post concerning the upgrade/install of our Macs into Monterey, if I'm understanding correctly 'We' are all still waiting to hit GO on it in order for Traktor to work? I'am using the Kontrol S3 and don't wanna spend another night on the phone with Apple backdown my OS. Thanks for anyones info!

YES for sure. After I went through the last debacle I purchased a separate external for time machine
