Traktor Pro 3 and Traktor Scratch Timecode Control Vinyl 001

Hi All,

Quick question, anyone having problems using Traktor Scratch Timecode Control Vinyl 001 (2007) with Traktor Pro 3?
Traktor doesn't recognize the Timecode Vinyl (Unknown Medium - Calibration Failed message), although the Traktor Pro 3 FAQ states under :

"I’m a DVS user. What do I need to do to use timecode vinyl?" :
3. TRAKTOR PRO 3 supports TRAKTOR Scratch Mk1 and Mk2 timecode vinyl.

Can anyone confirm this...

On this thread, I had already bought Serato Timecode vinyl and have seen on Google that Traktor Pro 3 has "open DVS" so will work with any timecode vinyl, but don't know how old that is and/or if that's still valid.

Any help?

 

I seem to remember at one point you could only use MK1 timecode if you had upgraded from an OG version of Traktor Scratch/Scratch Pro. My Pro 3 license is a direct upgrade over upgrade over upgrade of TSP and my MK1 timecode vinyl does work.

I also seem to recall MK2 eliminated a ton of drift in the timecode, you may as well grab the right vinyl and get the benefit of better control.

 

Open DVS in the TP 3 sense means you can use most low latency audio interfaces to run timecode. You still need the Traktor timecode vinyl or CD to control music in Traktor - SSL timecode vinyl will not work properly,
