Traktor pro 3 step sequencer filters

Im using the NI step sequencer map for the kontro F1 in TP3 and the filter encoders at the top of the F1 dont seem to do anything. ive made sure the filter is switched on in the GUI for deck C but still nothing happens when i turn the encoders. Everything else sounds great, What am i missing?!

So, in TP3, what is the step sequencer length? On the S4mk3, using the record function w/ samples only records a 1-bar loop..

 

The F1 step sequencer has up to 16 steps over 4 bars. I think the D2 and S8 go to 32 steps over 8bars. Really hope they update the F1 mapping to do the same.

As far as I know, There is currently no step sequencer function on the s4.

The mapping is only available for the S8, D2 and F1 controllers.

I think you’re getting ‘step sequencer’ confused with The loop recorder on the s4 which is something different.

Nope, definitely not getting confused.. I know the loop recorder which I use often and have used the F1 to step sequence 16 steps.. the S4 Mk3 however has a 'record' button for sampling/recording a 1-bar phrase of loops and one shots (works best with drumming one-shots) and I wanted to know (then) if it was possibly to record 16 steps on the S4 but apparently it's not possible yet.
