    traktor.png Dear Support Team,

When I try to launch Traktor from a nonadministrative user in MacOS 3 lines of errors turn up in Console.app and the launch terminates.

TYPE PID TIME PROCESS LIBRARY MESSAGE
error 2184 19:59:24.977487+0200 Traktor CoreFoundation AddInstanceForFactory: No factory registered for id <CFUUID 0x600003a84960> F8BB1C28-BAE8-11D6-9C31-00039315CD46

I've have no problems launching Traktor from a user with administrative rights, however, this is not acceptable because such a user should never be logged into the system unless it is REALLY needed.

How do I get around this? I am sure the answer is straight forward, however, I have not been able to come up with a solution myself.

Thank you in advance for your help and support.

    Hi Jacob RT ,

    Thank you for your report.

I have installed the latest beta of 10.15.5 and I can run 3.4.121 without any issues as a standard user. The app was installed with a user account with admin rights though but you need admin rights to install the app anyways.

Can you give us your system.log so we can investigate more?

    Best

I am also having the same issue :(

Bought new macbook pro, migrated all files & apps.

Traktor won't launch. on new machine. Works just fine on the old machine.

If anyone can share a fix that would be amazing.

    thanks in advance
    Dom

    Hey, thanks for the reply.

Installed 3.4.0.209 but still not launching.

it Installed, gave me the option of importing playlists etc, I said yes. then just crashed.

Trying to launch again you get the pop up alert saying 'beta version only valid till...etc" then it crashes.

    thanks,
    Dom

    Hi DomBUK ,

You are using a account with admin rights when launching Traktor? If yes maybe run Disk Utility > First Aid > Run to check the drive for errors, maybe there is something wrong with the file permissions on your disk.

Also make sure Traktor has at least access to the Documents folder, when you launch Traktor for the first time it shows a dialog from MacOS asking for Permission to the Documents folder, if you did not click OK in that dialog you are bound to have problems. You can double check it here:

Was there a resolution to this? I am having the exact same issue.

macOS 10.15.6, Mac mini 6-core i7. Traktor 3.4.209 beta (3.3 also crashes on startup). Security settings look correct.

    Many thanks

Actually, I may have found the problem. Traktor was trying to access ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports which only root can access for some reason. Changing permissions on that folder will allow Traktor to start.

We have a fix in the next beta. But usually the user has access to this folder as its in the user library. We have a lot of 10.15.x users which do not crash on startup.
