    Hi All
I've been trying to get my VCI 100 to control decks C+D in the same way it controls the features on A+B, with not much success. I've done much investigation on the net and I've tried MIDI maps from DJ Techtools.com but found that although some of it works ok, it makes some of the controller act strangely to the point that it makes it more confusing than fun so I've just had to reinstall and go back to the factory set up.
As for customising it in the controller manager I don't have a clue where to start - most of the headings and terminology mean nothing to me and it all looks a bit scary!
Is there a simple and effective way to do this - or do I have to enrol in Midi map college? I'd really appreciate any advice from people who've had experience of this and give me any tips.
    Thanks for listening!

Many thanks guys ! Hey pepehouse - your 'Fast and easy guide' link sent me to a page where I couldn't see anything to do with 4 deck midi control (there was a forum discussion on the Allen and Heath Xone) I tried searching the site but no joy -could you be more specific as to where I'll find the info you weretrying to give me?
Sanderr - I'll only bother you if I just can't do it myself! Cheers!

I think it is always best to be a midi guru. I've got the f/w 1.3 VCI. I downloaded the djtechtools .tsi and stripped it of the stuff I didn't want (fader fx and 4 deck mode).

I've since implemented a third deck feature as one of the three 'choices' in the FX section on the top right of the controller. It is only there to play and cut up loops. The benefit of it being there is that I can directly access all 3 decks at the same time.

My point is - it is better to get into the MIDI stuff, because if you find any 2 DJs, they'll want their equipment to do 2 different things.
