    Traktor Pro & Bcd3000

    Hello everyone,

Just a small question before upgrading ;)
Does anyone know if TRAKTOR PRO is compatible with BCD3000 (on a MAC 15.5.2)?

    Grtz,

    grindy

I'm also interesting in knowing if BCD3000 plays well with the new Traktor PRO (specially since there's no DEMO version available yet).

Could somebody explain to me how I get started with a BCD3000 an Traktor Pro? My one was delivered today, I upgraded immediately to TP and now I'm sitting here with an question mark on my face. While waiting, I keep on studying the manuals ;)

    I used a very specialized/customized .tks for my BCD3000
Will this .tks be compatible with Traktor PRO?

Where can I find the BCD3000 midi map? BCD3000 is recognized by the internal mixer, and there is a midi signal comming...but the buttons are not assigned...do I have to do all that manually?
    Regards,
    grindy

I think you are running in advance mode on the BCD put it in standard mode, there are funky little things like the set cue is now the headphone cue

I made this setup file because my old *.tks file not work in traktor pro. Not work with all parameters, but its fine for me.

    OS: windows vista (home premium)
    Traktor: Demo Version 1.0.1
    Midi controler: Behringer BCD3000

If you can fix this setup file, please do it!

I was frustrated with the map included by NI. It was totally different from the map from Traktor LE. After searching I was unhappy with the user maps I found so far (no offense).
I rebuilt from the ground up, making it work more like it did with LE. The LED's light up with the proper output commands added.
Make sure you run this on STANDARD MODE.

I found an slight error in my map. The "CD-DJ Jog" wheel should have Invert selected.

kdean101: While EXT IN A and EXT IN B can be mapped to midi controls, they are also used for which channel you want the external analog inputs or microphone to play though. I use neither, so I left them unassigned in my map. If anyone knows what function to map them to I can update the file.

    From the BCD3000 manual:

Which map for 3.4 did you use? I used a map made by DJ Arno. In it he has the buttons set to "Deck Input Select." I fixed my copy (even though I don't use the features) and here is a link.

Please let me know if it is not working and anything else that needs adjusting.

Can you tell me more about your problem?
Have you successfully loaded the driver and see the control panel in the system tray?

Have you got the controller to work with any other software?

Make sure in the MIDI Setup tab you have the BCD3000 selected.

Try the map I uploaded in a previous post. Or use the map NI provides for the BCD3000. It's located in My Documents\Native Instruments\Traktor\Settings\MIDI Mapping\Berringer BCD3000\

Is there a space in the file extension like in the example you typed? it should be .tsi, no spaces.

The map they included worked for me, I just hated the presets.

    Hi all,

Just wondering, how would one go about modifying a .tsi file? I've got some time on my hands, so if someone can start me off, i'll try figure the rest out!

It does seem strange that a striped down version like Traktor 3 LE works like a dream, yet the "Pro" version is having these kinds of mapping problems. Why they couldn't take the mapping for the LE version and apply it is beyond us all it seems! Ok, so there's a few more settings and features, but at the very least, all functions available on the BCD3000 itself should be fully compatible (as per LE) and those who want to modify the mapping to suit their needs can go ahead and do so.

Also, check my first thread out (it's along the same lines as this thread), if you have time, i'd really appreciate the help!
