Traktor Pro & Bcd3000 SETUP FILE!

I have a few more (specific) questions:
- How do I control the degree of the tempo bend? In traktor 3 there's a function called "deck pitch bend" - I'm guessing tempo bend is similar to this? But yea I'd really like to use that function in pro.

Also, is there any way to switch between loop timing (preferably using the search buttons) - E.g. Below the track timeline in the "2D Int. mixer" there are numbers and fractions (2, 1, 1/2, 1/4 etc). I can change these manually with my mouse but I'd prefer to do it with the bcd3000.

Also, a big one for me: I want to set cues/loops that I can control the length of myself! E.g. I'd really like to press "set loop" or "set cue" at one point, then press it again and have it loop in between where I set them. If this is possible I would HIGHLY appreciate any tips to help me out.

I'm also still really concerned about the CD-DJ jog function, as when I turn the wheel the track automatically slows down massively (someone said 10bpm before) and then jumps back up 10bpm when you let it go. Really annoying.

Main worry is still the pitch bend, mainly fiddling with the amount of bend as it does actually work... (for some reason called tempo bend, as pitch bend doesn't exist in traktor pro...?)

 

For loop timing i prefer use encoders. Choose control "Loop Size" (Cue/loops submenu) from midi mapping menu and assign encoder (ex. GAIN) for that.

set cues/loops

"Set Loop" button map to "Loop In/Set Cue"
"Reloop" button map to "Loop Out"


CD-DJ jog
Remap it for best usage for you, it's not so difficult

hi guys sorry if I'm being dumb but when I download Chefts file on my mac it downloads as an xml file and Traktor doesn't recognise it when I try to import. what am i doing wrong?

I got one that i have been slowly editing to taylor to my needs. So far im having issues with the Sync button and also tryint to get a Mic setup up thry Ext A button.

Everytime i hit the synce button on either side it automatically sends the pitch to max +10.0
Ill find a work around with this and send it out when i get it right!

I am using Traktor 3.4.0210 scratch Pro and a BCD3000

I might sound stupid to you but I can´t use much of the info given in this thread to get my issues solved..
My problems :
1. What are those tsi files? I can´t load them as my MIDI settings since i Need ".tks" for that. what am i doin wrong

2. I don´t know how to assign my own midi setup because it just not intuitive enough but i coudnt find any Tutorials for that.

I´ve got a pretty ok .tks file by now, i downloaded somewhere on this forum but there are three functions missing : 1. The "mid" wheel doesnt have any function and does not affect the Mids in tracktor. 2. same problem as Jack_40k with the looping in and out manually. Since i dont know how to assign my own setup adv´s ekplanation doesnt give me much. 3. prelistening : I can´t listen to a track on Headphones only, which affects me the most actually.

So if any of You has a tks file that offers those functions (as well as all the others of course) or could explain to me in a detailed way how to come up with a solution I´d be grateful for all eternity

Update: I solved the problem with the headphones and with the mids. leaves the looping prob left

 

If you are using a .tks file you are running the older Traktor Studio 3.x
This forum is for the newer Traktor Pro which uses .tsi

Hi,

I have some problems with my midi-controller (mostly headphones vs. speakers).
I already downloaded (I believe) a few good tsi files several times, but it didnt happen.

With my phones mix, when I set it all the way to -, both my headphones and speakers gain no sound, when I set it all the wat to +, they both are at maximum volume.

So somehow my headphones sound and speakers sound aren't seperated, thus I can't mix in properly.

This is the biggest problem but I also pose problems with:

Bend -/+ : It doesn't change the BPM.

Set loop: It automatically goes into a loop instead of just setting a loop (how much it loops depends on what number it stands on in Traktor).


And with the program Traktor Scratch Pro, I also pose with problems with the Syncing. It doesn't read the BPM's of the tracks well at all and when I press Sync it won't sync the BPM's at all.


Any help please?

 

Sync seems to be an issue I hope to get worked out soon.

go into your input file in preferences and mess with those settings I am not sure exactly withotu looking at them which is which but having it set a certain way will allow you to cue throw your headphone and play thru the speakers. I hope this is what your talkinga about

This is the full working MIDI map for the BCD3000 to be used in Traktor Pro under standard mode in the BCD3000 control panel.
Everything works as far as I know like it should work.
Even all the lights function properly and the Key Deck A+B and EXT in a + b keys function correctly. everything is set just as it should be set for basic factory intended functionality.
Set cue and cue buttons also work as expected.
Everything works. Check it out. and if something isn't right please let me know.
Also, I have included the effects settings I use that best match this MIDI map
You can change the effects as you wish but this is what I feel best fits the controls available. I usually assign both decks a and b to FX banks 1 and 2.
Cue and loop buttons are fixed.
Audio settings and midi settings are included.
also the GUI layout is setup for you guys having issues. this should fix any and all issues you may have. If not let me know and I'll fix it.

Edit: I just added some extra functions to the mapping
1) the sync light now blinks in time with the beat phase of the corresponding deck.
2)The Cue light come on when the track end warning comes on for the corresponding deck.

I'm trying to figure out some other functions to add such as flashing cue light for track end warning. monitor cue button lights blink audio level clipping when toggled on. and so on. Any help would be great. constructive criticism is appreciated.

 

Hey, I have a question regarding the BCD mapping. My friend redid his .tsi file and it works great except that volume input fader 1 is now REALLY sensitive. All you have to do is move the fader down slightly, and it goes all the way out. 1/16'' = vol 0. It's really limiting when we mix, so if anyone knows a fix please help us out. : )

 

hey guys i need help with the bcd3000 connecting to traktor pro.... i installed traktor and it works on my laptop.... but none of my buttons work on my bcd3000 i can play and fade and stuff with the lapttop but i want to use the bcd to mix with.
none of the bcd controls work with traktor it only plays music thru it. can some1 plz help me

cheft i have a problem with your midi map.are the 'cue' and 'set cue' buttons the same?i cannot set a cue when i want and it takes me back to the previous one.why does this happen? answer asap please.i would appreciate it..

I have been reading the forum regarding the Traktor Pro/BCD3000 issue and still have not been able to resolve it. I have a mac intel with snow leopard and I have downloaded the tsi files, but I am not 100% sure I am importing it in the right place.

Can someone please give us the latest updated BCD3000 controller map and explain the following:

1. Where to upload it.
2. How to change from advance to standard, since I don't see that on my mac anywhere.
3. IF there is anything else we need to do to make it work.

bcd 3000

hi i too am just new at this digital mixing, used vinyl for years.... the only thing working on my bcd 3000 is the master and haeadphone levels, granted there is sound coming through this controller but none of the controls sliders or knobs are working, i have tried everything can someone advise please?:S

 

I have a brand new bcd3000, and I'm having some issues maybe someone here can help me with. Sometimes the tempo, gain, low, mid, and high knobs will go way out of sync with the controller. If i play a new track the tempo on one might go all the way up for no reason... as soon as i touch the tempo slider on the bcd3000 it will return to where its supposed to be. The gain, low, mid, high do this too intermittently and might go all the way up or all the way down. Its very aggravating, and I haven't been able to figure out what to do... any help or advice would be much appreciated.

 

BCD3000, Traktor Pro, Win7, no control

I need help installing BCD3000 and Traktor. This what i did and now i'm stuck:

System: Windows 7, 64 bit (normal and x86 Program Files folder)

1. Installed Traktor Pro 1.2.1 (to the x86 folder)
2. Installed ASIO4ALL v2
3. Plugged in BCD3000 (Windows recognized it as BCD3000 and told me it was ready to use)
4. Installed BCD3000 drivers
5. Opened Traktor Pro> set ASIO4ALL as my audio device > Output Routing Master and Monitor to BCD3000 > added BCD3000.tsi to Controller-Manager.

Now I can play both decks and BCD3000 all works well as long as I use my mouse to handle the controls. But my BCD3000 has no influence on anything! The lights on the BCD3000 light up when I select for example "sync" with my mouse.

Does anyone know how I can get my BCD3000 to handle the controls?
