    Hi everybody,

I've had a search through the forums but sorry if this has been asked before anyway...

I just had a go using traktor pro with a BCD3000, and to be honest i thought it was pretty average, so I want to get a controller which is a bit better. Basically I want a controller with a built in soundcard, reasonably good jog wheels, sliders etc which'll work with vista and traktor scratch pro. My maximum budget is £300. For this budget what would people recommend? It seems like there's a few of sub £200 controllers; Numark TC, BCD2000/30000, and then theres a jump to the £300+ ones; VCI100, Torq Xponent etc.. Is there anything available between the two? (I.E. between 200 - 300 pounds)

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

Edit: I just noticed the hercules dj console steel and dj console rmx.. anyone tried these with traktor pro and vista?

Hercules RMX! Only recently got one myself, only giged once with it but love it! Works with Vista but i'm a user of Traktor 3, i'd imagine it should work TPRO without any problems.

Through Westend DJ it'll cost you £244 and i believe next day delivery.

    Hope that helps

Great! Thanks very much for your advice! I've had a look round and it seems the only other competitor is the numark omni control... Does anyone have any advice as to which is better? (hercules dj console rmx or numark omni control.) Or any other Traktor pro controllers with a built in soundcard between 200 - 300 pounds?

If you want the upside of the Hercules look at the following thread; in particular Angryofmayfairs long post about it

    http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64095&highlight=hercules+RMX

I can't speak personally of the omni controller but i know of several people who've experienced problems with it, in particular the jog wheels.

At the end of the day its your choice to what you think is best suited for your needs, for me it was the RMX. The VCM-100 was close to being choosen but i went against it on its volume control (it's a knob control instead of a slider).

Best bet to search through the forums for opinions of all the controllers your considering.
